no, your pc is shit. if it was shit port (from optimization perspective) it would run bad for people with decent rigs, but it's not the case. |
if may i ask , do you have ANY CLUE what optimization and a decent pc port means? if yes ,tell me i'm very curious to hear that
out of sig inspiration for the moment

Average frames: 112.252 probably a bit high due to a few cut-scenes and or menus causing FPS to sky rocket but I tried to avoid those for the purposes of testing.

I tried it and it plays good on my AMD X2 6000, 6 gb DDR2, geforce gtx 560 ti for graphics and geforce 8800 gt for physx the game never goes under 66 fps. Everything at full, Win 7 64.
I wander how badly optimized systems some people that play games have to get low frame rates with much better system than I have, my motherboard is 6 years old.
1680x1050
The mouse keyboard controls are o.k., I don t know who mentioned that its better if people play the game with console controllers, thats bullshit.

Which is bizarre as, on the PC, P2 looks significantly better than P1. Honestly.. I think Radical dropped the ball pretty hard with this.

Not sure how pc version is but on 360 the fog is soo apparent that streets CAN'T be seen from any rooftops.

HD5850 I get 35-45 fps outdoors with vsync on (or is it?), indoors 60 fps but then the camera stutters
aside from that M+K controls are fine, plays pretty much like Prototype 1. So much so in fact that I'm considering reinstalling that instead. Somehow the story gripped me more in the first game. It's the same premise all over again; shouldn't NYC have been nuked by now after all the shit that's been going on there?

Finally tried it, everything is fine performance wise here (oc'd i2500k+570) although mouse controls feel uncomfortable for me (not responsive enough), and disabling/enabling vsync doesn't help. Time to grab the dusty pad
The graphics are definitely not attractive, but a lot better than the first one. Seems like they added consistent post-processing effects and improved some textures/models. It's still too early to judge it gameplay-wise but so far it plays like a Prototype+, just as expected, which is good if you ask me.

Wasn't the fog in that tied to the story actually? Wasn't it actually deadly or something like that? I really can't remember because I last played that when I was still a kid. I did love that game though. I don't know what I would think about it now and I don't think I would like to find out. I'll keep my memories of it being the best Spiderman game until Shattered Dimensions was released.

But...but... you only have a C2D! That's a shit CPU! It's ancient! You can't run games on full settings! Upgrade, you n00b!

E8500 and the 5850 are at stock speeds?
What drivers are you using BTW?

Hmm...
On the same scene:
Desktop(Q8300@3.33GHz), 1440x900, all options on max -> 37 fps
Desktop(Q8300@3.33GHz), 640x480, all options on min/off -> 35 fps
Laptop(P7350@2GHz), 1280x800, all options on max -> 12 fps
Laptop(P7350@2GHz), 640x480, all options on min/off -> 20 fps
So my Q8300 is bottlenecking my 6850 but the same is not true for my P7350 and 9600mGT?

Both are overclocked but not very extreme. I'm using 12.6. This game is really not that intensive on HW, it should run fine on a decent system.
