Watched two David Fincher movies back to back, Zodiac and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, both are a 7/10.
The intro to TGWTDT is strangely addicting, I've watched it 3 times already.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

questions about prometheus:
Spoiler: | 1.So "original people" were terraforming worlds (like earth) and filling them with life, but also created that "alien" weapon which then they wanted to send to earth (among other plantes) to infect them with aliens. I got it right ?
2.What is the purpose of first scene ? The "original human" commiting suicide under the round ship. What planet was that? Or they just go like that? Or was that earth and they create life this way ?
3.Why did David infected Charlie with primitive alien? He was controlled by Weyland? but the first original Weyland is a good guy looking for answerws, why would he do that? Or did just David went rogue.
4.So the Alien as we know is a combination of "primitive alien weapon" and "original human". Why there isn't more "aliens as we know" on that planet? (btw loved that fight scene)
5.Also the last scene as they took off with "horseshoe" ship onto homeworld. Wonder if that ship was full of aliens and she actually will kill the homeworld
6.Also, how does that connects to the horseshoe ship from first alien movie? Are we suppose to think that it's just some randomly crashed ship ?

Ok here is my understanding and it may all be wrong, but its just based on seeing the movie this once:
Spoiler: |
1.So "original people" were terraforming worlds (like earth) and filling them with life, but also created that "alien" weapon which then they wanted to send to earth (among other plantes) to infect them with aliens. I got it right ?
Ya I think they where going to earth to destroy the human race - but was attacked by aliens (that they created to attack the humans), thats why when the alien (space jockey) returns from stasis and see´s that the humans can built robots - he immediatly wants to continue his mission (maybe they didnt want to create that intelligent life - so that they would have a future enemy.
2.What is the purpose of first scene ? The "original human" commiting suicide under the round ship. What planet was that? Or they just go like that? Or was that earth and they create life this way ?
I think it shows them creating life sure - earth or not? Who knows.
3.Why did David infected Charlie with primitive alien? He was controlled by Weyland? but the first original Weyland is a good guy looking for answerws, why would he do that? Or did just David went rogue.
I just think David wanted answers, as to what would happen - so he just used the worthless crew to test what would happen. Davids only mission was to keep Weyland alive and maybe he saw a chance of the blood maybe could help Weyland.
4.So the Alien as we know is a combination of "primitive alien weapon" and "original human". Why there isn't more "aliens as we know" on that planet? (btw loved that fight scene)
The end scene shows how the alien evolved concerning what entity they could take over.
6.Also, how does that connects to the horseshoe ship from first alien movie? Are we suppose to think that it's just some randomly crashed ship ?
It was the ship heading to earth with the virus elements (those thingys) to destroy human kind. The other ship in Alien is of the same type and thats it. There is 30 years between the 2 movies.
Thats my take atleast.

the raid.
10/10 for action. crisp. violent. you see every blow, every strike, and it feels violent.
7/10 for camera work. it goes from awesome to super shaky. some very creative shots i havent seen anywhere.
story 6/10 lol
everyone should see this at least once. the action is almost as good and visual as danny the dog.
overall 8/10

@KillerCrocker - are you remotely mental? Promethesh*t was an abortion of scriptwriting and basic logic discussed to the tits on IMDB and other places. Absolutely stupid throughout once you re-watch it. Adding extra 20-30mins may round it out a tad but the whole thing is just.. GAHHH!

KillerCrocker wrote: | 10 for a perfect movie? I don't use scores like that. Movie that was enjoyable for me and I want to rewatch it deserves a high score for me. Prometheus is easily a 9/10 for me. Not sure how it will be second time through but as for now I loved what Ive seen yesterday. Everything makes sense plotwise and effects were perfect.
Its not like high scores are only reserved for godfather, thing, shawshank, shining etc.
Scoring system is stupid. 10 is a perfect movie... Pfff... Nothing is perfect... Well maybe Pitch Black |
Surely 10 would mean there is nothing wrong with it? Why would you give something full marks if it is flawed? That's what the numbers 0-9 are for.
10 to me means there is not a single thing I would change about the film, which is rare.

if yo daddy is a big alien fan... he would've been disappointed. Every die-cast-hardcore-super-elite-alien-fan was all sci-fi is amazing and epic and this movie was good sci-fi but it should never be part of the alien franchise.
So, as a weyland movie it's \o/ as an alien movie... it's /o\
It's still a good sci-fi movie. the added 20-30 minutes may add bits and pieces to flesh out the basic story line, and make it more sci-fi which is good. If they somehow recut it so it doesn't belong to the alien franchise... then \o/ and it's really easy.
Spoiler: | just remove the final shot of the alien lol |

I've never rated anything a 10.
Very few movies and games reached a 9.5 or even 9.6 that was the highest rating I ever pulled for any kind of entertainment. (LOTR)
I'm so out of movies to watch and I have no idea if there really is nothing interesting out there or if I've overseen something.
There is so much crap coming out and so few interesting movies its really sad.
5 years ago I couldnt get my mind sorted about which movie I'm going to watch next, now there are a max of 2 or 3 movies a MONTH that interest me.
And all the movies that interest me NOW, are still in cinema and have no rls.
I've got to have missed something, especially with movies that came out recently (2010-2012) I still have some gaps.
The last 4 I watched were Tinker, Tailor (7.6), American Pie (7.2), John Carter (6.7) and Contraband (6.9).
Those didnt even brush an 8.
Where the fuck are the good movies??!

DO NOT TRY THAT LORAX THING! It has the worst possible songs. Little to no rhymes. It's preachy. It's bull shit. and... and... and... oh it's just so bad!

I blame the damm trailers each time we watch one from a movie we get all the best scenes (sometimes the only ones) in those 3m and thats it , the rest in between is mostly junk. I hope they start making bad trailer and good movies that would be nice for a change.
