That's nuts, it's friggin' uncanny! Nothing sounds forced either, like most impersonators do when they've copying a voice, this one sounds completely natural. It really is uncanny.
I can tell you, after many many tries. I visit people all over the map, and absolutly everyone, without exception, that has a weapon starts firing before asking. Some guys dont even stop when they see im not dying. After a while, i found out that most guys are quite nice. Its just that no one wants to lose his stuff after hours or days of surviving.
rocket did mention that he recognizes it as a problem with dayz that people run out of things to do and just end up terrorizing other players
if there was some sense of objective to it, maybe the pvp would ease up a bit when the worst offenders are off doing their thing
our group has a chopper, a truck filled with guns and a bunch of tents for duping shit
there's not really anything left to accomplish so it's starting to get pretty boring
when you have a chopper, looting places become so ridiculously easy
just arrive, see that zombies weren't spawned before you arrived so you know there's no players around
shoot the zombies dead before landing and loot while the chopper keeps watch, and leave within 30 seconds
be it a chopper crash site or whatever
and there's always tents everywhere we go on the map
Today I had my first real close encounter with a hacker scumbag. He teleported behind me and my buddy, killed my buddy while I emptied a clip of AK-rounds into the dude (which he survived) and then he happily teleported behind me again and shot me dead.
I lost my Ghillie, AS50, lots of ammo, my Kobra, and my temper.
But wth, it's not like it is hard to get new gear, in fact - starting over again is one of the most fun things in this game, so in a way the hacker did me a favor. I pity you duping hacking faggots, you ruin the game only for yourself really.

Were you playing on a server with the latest beta 95417 and Dayz patch? I see a lot of servers using older betas and I think those are where you're much more likely to get hacker scums. But maybe there are new hax out for the newest patch..??

Doesnt matter which version of the game regarding hacks. When a new beta update or BE update comes out, it takes a few hours until the hacks are up 2 date.

This morning I picked up a MP5SD6 (love this one, hard to find ammo for it I guess) and bit later a DMR. How do I switch between equipped gun and gun in my backpack easily?
Keep it in your backback and just move it from your backpack into your primary slot, it'll swap them (including ammo if possible). Don't do it the other way around (putting your weapon in your backpack), you lose stuff that way
Aha that's what went wrong, managed to pick up the weapon again with some luck and then I got kicked. Hmm I have my tent on that server and it has 10 mags for the DMR.
