Damn, nice surprise then. I hope they don't retract it, but I expect they will since MS will be pissed. I'll wait for the mods and such to be updated before buying though.

Why would they retract it, bud? Bethesda announced long ago that MS had a 1 month exclusivity deal on the first three DLC packs, well the 360 has had Dawnguard since the 26th of June. That and Pete Hines announced the Steam sale/release at GameCon just a short while ago. It's full-on legit.

Seems like I bought the new ValveTestApp211720 Skyrim DLC Scratch Head

It's 1.156,4 MB.

*EDIT*
Well, before someone points the finger at me... I've put well over 300 hours into Skyrim when I was still playing the ISO demo, plus another 25 hours since I bought it the first time it was reduced by 33%. Do I think the pricing is too steep? Hell, yes! But I just love this game. Mostly because of it's setting. I dig games that are set in a Norse-esque setting (Rune <3).

Okay, okay... I admit... I just had/have 70€ (of 150€) left over. I've saved this up since January for the Summer Sale.. didn't buy that much stuff as I hoped for... since it was kinda disappointing. Laughing

If they want to, of course they can detect its existence and ban if not owned. But I doubt they will do that Very Happy

I have over 150 hours of Skyrim played (and still playing it), and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would love additional vampire stuff for 20 bucks, but I don't even have the ability to do it.

same here: more than 150 hours for the second playthrough AND just begun with the modding part now...finally installed moon Path mod and will see soon how hard ennemies are to kill. Was too busy last week to watch the entire series of Game of Thrones movies, lol.

Now the waiting game begins, waiting for mods to be updated to support Dawnguard so you can play it with all your favorite mods!

Well it's probably not too conflicting but Dawnguard does modify a number of base scripts, leveled lists and of course the new things it adds such as for crafting with Dragonbone weapons and craftable arrows plus the various misc quests it adds and the various bugs it introduces judging by the X360 community and the UESP article about the DLC.

Nope, once cured that is it, outside of using console commands to add back the "spell" and such that handles the game mechanics for werewolf characters.

Steam can't detect shit. How's it to know the DLC in your Skyrim folder wasn't downloaded by another account? Sure it could look at what process is using such and such files but that's highly invasive and Steam doesn't do that yet.

You need 1.6 though 1.7 fixes some further bugs so I'd recommend downloading any release of that (1.7 from 1.6 is just TESV.exe) just to be sure, SKSE and most other stuff have been updated as far as I know so 1.7 should work just fine now with most anything.
