It probably tried to update but couldn't (For some reason, region restriction maybe.) so the old exe was removed but a new one wasn't added?

I'm not too certain on how Steam handles those updates, also Skyrim still uses the older format with .NCF files and full replacements instead of the newer version with manifest files and less restrictions or what it brings. Smile

You need 1.6 though 1.7 fixes some further bugs so I'd recommend downloading any release of that (1.7 from 1.6 is just TESV.exe) just to be sure, SKSE and most other stuff have been updated as far as I know so 1.7 should work just fine now with most anything.

Yeah thx.

I was on version 1.5, just grabbed 1.6 (update 9) and copied over files, same with new 1.7 and DLC, and updated SKSE to latest. All working fine Smile Who needs Steam? lol Very Happy

Well, the DLC is not available in my region (as is the main game). I actually was forced to buy a cheaper version of Skyrim (awful, I know) made for Russian regions to get it legally. But since there is no such option for DLC, I suppose I can consider it an official permission by Bethesda for me to just pirate it?

As strange as it can be, I didn't have bought Dawnguard yet.

20€ for a "simple" DLC have a taste of "a little too much" nowadays.
What are they thinking ? We are console gamers ???

If a have enough willpower I certainly will wait some discount, if not, I certainly will buy it tomorrow...

Seems the Gargoyle's of Dawnguard are called Vampire Brute's from their file names and such, though what I found funny was how the Sentinel variant is called vampirebrutebadazmofo.nif in it's model name.

Still going through the various files but it'll probably not lead to anything, there's some neat Dawnguard mods already such as stopping the random vampire attacks for a time or fixing smaller bugs. Smile

Skyrim DLC - Fall of the Space Core, Vol 1

Finally liberated from the Steam Workshop. It's a Valve/Bethesda DLC, created for the launch of the horrendous Steam Workshop ( i mean civfanatics have their own hosting that they prefer and the Bethesda games have the Nexus).

bad luck mate , maybe you have vampirism and that bugged the quest , try a "Cure Disease" potion.

About six - eight hours in total, plus there's two different sides so you can always replay it again from the other side if you save before doing that choice.

Depending on side quests and the other stuff it adds there's also a lot to do even after finishing the main DLC storyline. Smile

How about size, locations, etc?
These games always were more about exploring everything, at least for me.
