Gettin a SSD and don't want to do anything wrong. I know I have to set the SATA mode to AHCI and make sure that TRIM is enabled but other than that I have no clue. Also getting a new Z77 mobo so maybe I don't have to do anything? Also how imposrtant are firmware updates?

'Kay. Is it necessary to update firmware before Windows install though or can I use the Windows utilty after install? Also how do I even find out the firmware version before Windows install?
