Anyone suffering from crashes? I've done a couple of drug busts that upon completion seem to reboot my console.

impressions 2-3 hours in:
+mission variety(working as undercover cop or doing missions for gangs... hell, even the random favors to gain extra cash or reputation seem to have more variety than GTA4)
+combat for an open world game
+general control and smoothness in movement and actions(way better than GTA)
+graphics and framerate(looks really nice for an open world console game with no slowdown)
+great city that feels alive and authentic if you've been in HK before
+interesting cutscenes that don't really drag out(my main problem with rockstar games but maybe i'm biased here since i speak cantonese and find the random input of cantonese dialogue to be both awesome and hilarious)
-driving is easily the worst part of the game(doesn't feel as smooth as GTA)
-economy might be OP since i'm only a few hours in but because of random stashes that give out at least 5000 as well as missions being generous with cash, i'm already sitting on 70000... to put it in perspective small buffs or HP food cost like 50-1000. time will tell if the cost of apartment accessories or vehicles etc. will end up being balanced in the end.
score so far: 8-9/10

Most cars seems to have pretty soft suspension ala GTA 4 btw

Probably some uptight puritanical republican that doesn't understand that poop and shit are the same substance. And humping and fucking are the same activity. Words are just words. Good thing there isn't any nudity in this game or that guy would be suing someone!
God I hate most of my fellow overly-religious Americans sometimes. I mean, most of the times.

Its reactions like that fuckwits that make developers think against adding adult themed material. Always the bullshit double standard when it comes to games. Dont you know only kids play them.
This clown probably complains about the hardcore porn he downloads, has to much explicit sex

The driving is easily one the worst examples ever in an open world game, and that is taking every open world game since they went 3D. It's shitty, to say the least.
And I really don't feel the city to be "alive" or atleast not very interesting. It's not fair to compare it to Liberty City in GTA IV, but lets take Saints Row 2's city - even that one feels more genuine and "organic" so to speak. In Sleeping Dogs, it really feels stiff and uninteresting to me.
I'm about three hours in, maybe slightly more, and while the missions start off somewhat different, in 9 times out of 10, it ends with me surrounded by bad guys, and I gotta beat them up. Doesn't matter if I'm just going to pay someones unpaid lunch, or making an example of cheating street racer - my main objective is to beat someone/something up.
The game is ok, it's not a suckfest at all, but I personally wouldn't give it more than say a 6/10. So far at least.

im loving it so far, been playing it 6 hours straight today, i love the gta-ness of it all, nothing new here just gta goodness, only thing that makes it better than the other clones is the great fighting system, only thing i dont get is the insane amount of money they give u, im sitting at 200 grand (should been 300 but i blew 100 grand on a cock fight lol), although i have seen a car go for 465 k at a dealer so theres def stuff to spend it all on
what makes it fun is the missions are very diverse, much more than gta's drive from point a to point b. its about time somebody made a free roam kung fu beatem up

driving is not nearly as bad as people are making it out to be. sure its not perfect, but its perfectly manageable, cars dont act realistically but sometimes thats a good thing, driving is a breeze, i hardly if ever crash into anything, only think is the ramming button makes it way to easy to get police off your tail, i would of liked it better without it

I remember, when GTA IV came out, people saying the driving was bad there as well and yet I fully enjoyed it; and till this day I think it's a standard for open world driving games.
De gustibus, I suppose.
