Why the fuck do they let them drive.
I'm sorry, but that is just asking for trouble.

Well here in the UK it is a privilege, not a right to drive. And any one with a disability that could affect their driving skills is not allowed to drive. I would be surprised if they both operate their body as good as a single person does. |
that is why they have to have driving tests like everybody else. Whats the problem?

Passing a driving test doesn't make you a safe driver. But maybe they are good at driving, I don't know. No problem.

thats the same for all drivers.
around here, you have to do a written test for theory and a practical driving test. Also a seeing test. In cases of brain damage for example after a stroke, it is adviced to get yourself tested by a neuropsychologist and you have to re-take the practical drivers test to assure that you re up to the task.
I d love to have a system where the elderly also have to take driving tests or at least a small battery of reaction tests every 5 to 10 years to ensure their abilities are still there.
in the case of the conjoined twins: i suppose both have a fully functioning brain and have learned how to handle themselves when it comes to their motor skills. They seem to be walking just fine without over tripping themselves for example. I dont see how they wouldnt be able to handle driving. I could imagine they could even be better than others because they have to sets of attention systems checking for anomalies in their surroundings.

Thanks for your explanation Mchart, we are so much wiser now. But since the conjoined twins were driving, I figured they had a driving licence. A driving licence gives them the right to drive. Don't put words in my mouth.
