CD Projekt RED will be attending this years Gamescom which takes place in Cologne, Germany next week. We will be hosting a series of behind closed doors, exclusive media presentations where we will be showing the REDkit, a long-awaited set of tools for modders which will allow any player to create their own content for the PC version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, such as new, non-linear adventures, great looking locations and much more.

So Much Win I've been waiting for stuff like this since Witcher 1.

Me too, can't wait to see what modders will cook for us. There are already some light modifications, but nothing really impressive. It's not that the game needs intense modding anyway, since it's very good, but still, would be nice to see something fresh Razz.

I installed SkyUI the moment it came out. I never said I loved Skyrim's UI - I did find it easier than TW2 tbh though.

I must admit, I too find the game somewhat difficult to keep playing - and that's not because I don't like it...

Superb graphics, good combat system, awesome storyline....so why do I just not play it after a few days? I've yet to get past chapter 2 (or 3, I forget now)

Possibly the totally awful UI? Modders might be able to make that more palatable maybe.

I dunno, maybe I'm just odd. But then, I played Skyrim for weeks on end.

I'm just odd I guess Laughing

Yeah, it's still amusing to see the game score 2 years in a row. Well deserved tho so I don't mind.

To be fair, the reason why this is being considered again is due to the Enhanced Edition release. Though it wouldn't be the first time a game has won multiple awards several years in a row---- it just hasn't happened in a while Very Happy

Hehe it's definitely a good sign that games like TW2 are finally getting some recognition, it also encourages the devs to keep the same old-school "formula" for their future projects (like Cyberpunk Smile ).

Yup! To hell with streamlined rubbish, if a game like Witcher 2 can rake in the money and the awards, then hopefully it shows developers that it CAN be a successful idea!

To be fair, TW2 doesn't play all that differently from other Action RPGs, so it's no wonder it does well.
