No 10% discount for owning Borderlands 1 here. Just made the 4-pack purchase, and it was £90.

A class that should've been in the game from the start.

No, they won't as far as I know. From what I understand this class only exists on paper at the moment. But yeah, people who preorder get it for free while everyone else has to pay which is why this game is not worth buying now, but only when all DLC is released for it and the GOTY/Complete edition is available.

The article clearly states otherwise.

Anyone not pre-ordering will have to wait 60 days for the DLC to appear online before buying.

The Mechromancer class will be available on all formats – PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 – from launch to all pre-order players who are members of the Gearbox Premier Club.

Will we ever witness an AAA title having no jerky pre-order offers and bovine DLC incentives post-launch? A game which has everything packaged within right from the damned start? A game getting a masterful expansion 10-11 months after its premiere with new weapons, costumes/armours, quests, areas, characters to interact with, dialogue, items, graphically enhanced assets?

Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition?
(Of course it has a certain other little problem.)

The fuck? I didn't ask for this and I'm pretty certain nobody else on the planet did.
|
What about an entire skill tree devoted to expert players?
Quote: | Hemingway told Eurogamer in an interview that he's thinking about using one of the Mechromancer's other skill trees as a counter point to the Best Friends Forever "girlfriend mode".
"Right now, I'm thinking of it as a hardcore mode. So if you are a really expert player, and you want to do some tricky, difficult things, this is the tree for you, for just a totally different experience. We're not ready to talk about it, because we have no idea if it's even going to pan out. But we've got some interesting ideas there." |
No? Well then there's always the 3rd skill tree:
Quote: | Hemingway imagines the final skill tree as "the shock gameplay tree". "It's all about shields and electrical damage. We've never really had an electrical-themed character skill tree. So that's exciting to me." |

Take your pick.

And that excuses a newbie skill tree... how?
"Oh it's okay that there's a THIRD of the character you don't want, there's two others!"
Not to mention the "we're thinking of" - not "we've implemented" so it's not even confirmed. I get what you're trying to say, I just disagree with it.
