Finally (in the deelix sense ) got around to play it, and I must say its pretty much what I expected... that sound pretty dull, but its not. I had HUGE expectations because of the large list with new features etc. was posted. And to me it seems like they have for filled them all Wink
Im a little skeptical to if the world really is four times as big as DS1, but time will tell Wink

played it for 3 hours this morning, and it looks like I won't be doing anything else today Awesome

Loved it so much that I forced myself to drop it and finish Sleepin Dogs just to delay the awesumness.

Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

This is prince of persia. Love it. The combat could've used a bit more work, but the platforming is solid.

Also i have to say that i love the climbing animations, they look so fluid.

hahaha, that's Darksiders for you! The first one was just the same -- you progress so far through the game and then you're given a whole new area to explore! I love it Very Happy

Everything is better , similiar gp but with new stuff and powers , loot is awesome..better visuals with more enviromental variety. If you loved first one , you'll have instant love for this one too.. Often mini bosses and bosses makes sure the pace of the game is great. So far I encountered some light puzzles , platforming is ofc there too.. So everything that we loved is there and it's improved !

just as i expected

From what I played of the intro this feels more like Diablo than Zelda/metroidvania... not sure how to feel about that. Poker Face

Yes, I know how the first one felt. Razz

Darksiders 2 feels more like an action/loot based game, rather than an exploration metroidvania type game. Also the visuals has very WOW/Diablo 3 look to them; witch might be what feeds me that illusion that lead me to the Diablo comparison.

But like I said, I only played through the intro; witch wasn't too clear in the first game either ( I remember people who didn't know what Darksiders was, giving up on the game after the intro thinking it was a GoW/DMC clone).

Confused game has tons of exploration , wait till you see some optional dungeons..and game style looks exactly like the first one , but it does look WOW like..strange thing is it's like that from the start and you noticed it now. Razz Maybe those giant maker dwarves gives you that vibe even more.. Razz

when you get to dungeons it plays like a zelda, activate switches, find keys, study the map, use bombs or gadgets etc. outside of dungeons its an action rpg.
overall great game as expected, played for 3 hrs so far, the really only thing that bothers me is the not very consistent framerate, the game definitely drops below 30 fps quite often, especially in miniboss / boss battles.

I'm about 4h in and it's amazing, just as i expected. I'm a big fan of the first.
But...I fucking hate the:
-FOV. most of the time you can't see somthing that's in front of you.
-framerate.
-vsync issues.
-lock on camera, it's as bad as in the first game.

the lock on camera is a 1:1 ripoff of the 3d zelda games, but not quite as good since the camera is supposed to follow behind you and here it just doesnt, but the game does so many other things perfectly that i dont mind.

i would. first game was considered a bad port, but still way better on PC due to vsync, high res and good fps (if you have a decent pc).

Exactly what I thought when DS1 was out.

The pc version, except the framerate issues, had major Vsync bugs as well, among others.

Can someone advise

Im stuck at the drenchport level, 2nd water puzzle where you have one ball and a big metal grate in front. You push the ball upwards using RT and once ball is in, the metal grate opens. But the steps above is too high to hold on the ledge and climb.
Any idea?

FUCK THIS GAME RIGHT UP ITS FUCKING ASS.

Decided to go after the mad construct sidequest. Ended up at a part of the level where i'm supposed to defeat 3 waves of corrupted small and large cunstructs with no heal pots remaining.

Doesn't sound all that hard right? WRONG, the small motherfuckers take 1/4 of my HP with a single fucking blow, and there's fucking swarms of them spawning over and over. And of course, any charge attack they land takes 1/2 of my HP. All the while i have to do about 20 fucking hits on every single one of the small ones to kill 'em.

I swear to god, the fucking combat in this game is going to do me in.
