I know, right?! I actually installed it today and I reached that first city and I'm already bored of it. As you said, the world is uninteresting... to the point where the game simply bores you to death with every information it gives you. And yeah, the combat is annoying for me because of its style mainly. What's with the anime shit?! I just can't take it seriously... What bothers me a lot is its consolish... arcadey... MMOish... I just don't know how to call it... feel in general. It's not really a matter of port. |
Oh indeed. I remember spending close to half an hour reloading at the very first pack of wolves because I felt the dodge timing was way off and I wanted to get the 'proper' feel of the combat. But watching the wolves change their flightpath 90+ degrees while midair and get a hit on me instantly got on my nerves as all my timings were waay off the whole time and that kind of shitty combat just doesn't sit well with me.
Could've been great though. Also, usually love R.A. Salvatore's work, however 'standard fantasy' it may be |
KoA was a strange beast for me, despite my hate for "cartoonish" stuff and stylized look I liked it, although it took me some time to get used to the combat/controls in general. I ended up using the dusty pad.

Well Im glad a lot of people also hate mass effect 2 and 3.
It reminds me of the matrix trilogy in a disappointement point of view.

STALKER and Mass Effect (s) are my big ones.
I bought every STALKER hoping it wouldn't be shit. Every one was a bug filled douche rag.
Yes, I could download the 'Complete' mod to each one. Thats fucking bullshit. The game should have come out working.

As I loved fallout 1 and 2 and even to an extent fallout tactics I absolutely hated how Bethesda got their dirty hands on the franchise and fucked it up beyond all reason.

Kingdoms of Amalur, I mean I did try it because it got so praised. I tried to several times and it just felt like a MMO without other players. I have nothing against it really, the graphics are kind of nice and well the world are stylish. But I think the fact that I played WoW for so long and kind of got bored of that game, made me get bored of this game too.

With you on that one.
Fine games (NV more so than "3"), but not Fallout. Period.

Lets hope the kick starter project wasteland 2 will smother over this black period in gaming history =)

Off the top of my head:
1. Fallout 3 ( The writing, the plot...Why, gods, WHY! )
2. Counter-Strike
3. Heroes 3 ( I loved Chronicles though, Tarnum rocks )
4. Diablo franchise ( I really never could get into it, as it is with most H&S. Except Torchlight for some reason. Books were ok, guess I'm a story whore )

Call of Duty, from #2 onward. ESPECIALLY the ones made by Treyarch.
Every game made by Obsidian, save for NV.
ME3, finished it and felt dirty and used.
Dragon Age 2
Borderlands
Minecraft
TF2
Splinter Cell from #4 onward.

Borderlands - A true masterpiece of awfulness. Enough said.
Deus Ex : HR - I've seen it all before, just that in this game it's slicker. Nothing new here, move along please!
Bio Shock - Starts out quite well and the eye candy is notable, but after a while it got so repetitive and boring that I quit about 60% in.
Eve Online - Yawn
Witcher 1 (I didn't even try 2) - I just couldn't get to grips with the clunky combat system.
Mafia 2 - Nothing really like the first game, more of a crappy 3rd person shooter.
