Just bought a new pc and finnally the motherboard arrived todau.
I got a i5 3570 cpu, gigabyte ga.z77.d3h motherboard,16 gigs of corsair vengence mem,powercoloue 750 psu, m4 ssd drive 128 gig.
Put it all together and press power button all fans start fine but a few secondd later the pc powers off then comes back on for three seconds again then powers off then does the same again repeatedly?
Any ideas what it might be?

Make sure the ramsticks are fully inserted in, I think it should be in the second and fourth slot ( assuming 8 gigs each ). Also is that a 3570K?

What cooler do you have? It's important that it isn't making contact with your case. Isn't there a troubleshooting guide in the mobo manual? Plug in the PC speaker and the mobo should have a list to decrypt what the beeps mean.

It's still doing this.
I plugged the speaker in before and the bleeps 2 times one after the other then a 2 second pause then another beeps and switches off again?
Driving me nuts.
Changed to me older psu and it's still the same.
boots up everything works for 4-5 seconds then goes off again, then does exacly the same?
Checked to see if my memory voltage is right for the motherboard and it is, cpu is supported.
I just can't think what the feck is wrong with it?
It powers on sop it must work but just goes off?

I just put a drawing pin in the psu and conected the fan bypassing the motherboard to check it works and the psu is fine so that clears the psu.
Got to be something with the motherboard then?

What do these error beeps mean when i attach the speaker to the motherboard?
2 quickish beeps, second or so pause then 1 more quick beep?
I'm thinking a cosmos error?
Any ideas please?

The error codes should be listen in the manual. If not, search for them on the manufacturers website.

Might be graphics card problem with that code, make sure it is seated correctly and has power plugged in. I think I have run into this before as well.

There's your error. CPUs require absolutely 0 force. None. Nada. Zilch. Niente.

And no, I'm not trying to be funny, if you apply *any* force to get a CPU into its socket with anything from this century, you're doing it wrong Smile
