Is there a grapling hook/chain in the first world? There are some points I can't reach in any other way and they seem destined for a gadget like that.

For ex. there's an area below the Nook with a giant flying creature roaming there and the only way to traverse that gap seems to be using those things.

LE: nvm, the answer is "yes, you get one".

You have to assign your skills to the LB and a face button. Open the skill menu by pressing DOWN on the dpad, then use the analogue stick to select the skill, hold LB and then press a face button of choice. You can then use the skill by holding LB and tapping the assigned face button in combat Smile

Down on Dpad, select it and map it to LB+ A/B/X/Y. The LB + the button you assigned it to.

Completed it @ 19+ hours
I didn't do many of the sidequests so around 20-25 hours sounds about right Smile

Gameplay: 8.5/10
Sound: 8/10
Story: 6/10

Overall: 8/10

Some parts of the game are pretty linear, at one point the game kinda turns into a linear TPS fest :/ It was only for awhile tho. A minus is that stupid bird... it just kept confusing me, I started to trust my instincts instead and progressed much faster.

Wait... you guys do realise that Dust flies around on his own, right? He's just following wherever you go, finding perches to land on to wait for you. He only guides you to your objective if you actively tell him too -- on the controller you have to hold L3.

Thats the thing, when I ask him for help thats when he fucks up. But not all of the time... it really depends where I am, or if im going back for some loot. Probably some scripts triggered at certain points.

Anyways, the puzzles seems to be a little easier than in the first game actually Smile

no worries Smile

Anyway, for those of you who still haven't played the game yet and want to pirate/or buy the DLC, get the DLC from the start. All the 17 gifts are pretty useless at high level Sad I sold them all

so true, after finishing dark souls and catherine no game even feels slightly challenging at any give time.
(finished the original jap version of catherine, before it was derped to shit in the eu/us versions, now that game was fucking torture)
