Great game.
Level 10 atm and owning everything left and right.
 Spoiler: | I'm using health regen armor with health steal scythes combined with fully upgraded Rostov(?) axe (+crit chance) and game is really easy now. |

Somehow the game reminds me frequently of "Kingdoms of Amalur". OK, in Amalur is no Jump-and-Run, but the dynamic fight system with dodging and jumping away from being hit and the use of the different weapons with different speeds make the fights feel similar to those in Amalur in my impression.
Also how the cinematic camera moves over a new found place the first time you get there and some of the cutscenes and the overall graphic style of the first world remind me of Amalur.
But one weakness of Amalur is gone: the fights are more challenging, its not as easy as Amalur. I did already use two health potions in the first hour (as many as I used in Amalur for the complete game, as far as I remember) - I am curious how the balancing may change when "Death" gets level ups and finds better gear like in Airwolfs posting... (I am still level 2)

In the beginning, i had some difficulties too. However, that all changed when i hit level 5.
| Spoiler: | When you get to Tri-Stone "town" you get access to a mailbox that has couple of full sets of armor and weapons. Then the game becomes super easy. You need to be level 5 to be able to use them. You get all sorts of full armor sets and weapons. I choosed health regen armor and health steal on hit weapon. Didn't change the armor nor the weapons ever since. |

Those are DLC items. No wonder the challenge is gone. Also, sense of progression and looting better weapons is gone, as you won't find any better gear for a long time (if ever). That's why I didn't loot anything from that DLC mailbox...

yep didt loot anything either - dont want dlc overpowered gear - it takes all fun from game for me

Is there any way to remove or de-activate this DLC stuff? (In Amalur it was similar with the "special delivery chest" making the already easy game even more easier) ... I dont get it ... why should consumers pay for DLCs destroying the balancing of the game...?

How do I show the world map? It says press button A to toggle the world map (button X on my ps3) but it wont do anything.

well its a frakking long game after all 
reached the 3rd world after 16 hrs without any grind and some sidequests.

Not if you allrdy got them you can only sell them then but that will make you filthy rich^^
You can just rename or remove the dlcs you dont want (DLC 1,2 and 4 are safe) in the game folder but that doesnt work anymore if you started the game with them.
And yes i dont get it either the items are just like cheats and brake the game balance why anyone would want to play it that way is beyond me...

Don't the possessed weapons have a level cap tho? Seems like a waste (as long as there's those movesets to buy at least, good for a later moneysink tho I suppose).

I fully upgraded my first possessed scythe and it didn't eat up many items. The weapons can get very powerful and sacrificing all those shitty items will help. I basically sell anything worth more than 2000 and sacrifice anything else. I still have enough gold. When I was done with the posessed weapon, I sold it for 8500.

The only thing I buy now are the moves from Thane, so gold isn't very essential. I bought two armors (best available), got something better within an hour. Pissed me off a bit, so I don't buy anything now.
