I had a dream about this last night and decided I would buy it on steam, but then I saw the price. £14.99 is too much for such an old game.

It's been on sale a couple of times in the past 3 or 4 months. Down to £3.75... Best thing to do if you do want to buy it in the future is to Wishlist it and when the next big sale hits, have a nosy and see if it's dropped. Smile

It's been an sale many times, but yeah... £15 is a bit steep for an abandoned 8 year old game, even if it is the gloriousness of Bloodlines.

i'm usually not a grammar nazi, but that's terrible, especially since it seems he spent a bit of time to make it look good, guess he didnt have 5-10 seconds to read what he had written or his grammar is really that bad...

I was going to type "ignore the typos" but yeah.. it is pretty silly given how nicey-nice they image looks.

Oh! And "The Final Nights" mod? Not worth it unless you've played Bloodlines so many times that you can recite every word off by heart, as it removes all the existing clans and replacing them with those 7 new ones. It would have been a lot better if they just added the new clans.

Never finished this game. It was infested with bugs but probably it's playable now after all this patching. Neutral

With we5p's updates it's significantly improved! He even managed to restore a lot of content that was in the game but either unfinished or bugged out. I don't recommend the "True Patch" though, not just because it's incompatible with We5p's version.. but also because it doesn't improve or restore anything - just fixes critical bugs.

We5p all the way Very Happy. I replayed it some months ago and it was basically flawless, this game really never gets old Smile

I've never tried the Malkavian though, next time! Razz

It's so much fun with some of the conversations due to Malks broken way of talking Very Happy People assume Malks are just batshit insane.. and while that's true, they're also ludicrously intelligent and have the best insight by far. The stuff they know just by looking at you is awesome and it's actually genetic too! As far as I can remember, Malkavian knowledge is passed down in the Blood - so what one Malk knew/discovered centuries before, ends up being knowledge to most, if not all, Malks down the bloodline.

Like Jeanette, for instance, play as a Malk and you already know all about Jeanette/Therese! Very Happy Great stuff!

http://www.dsogaming.com/news/surprising-all-of-troikas-games-returned-profit-company-closed-due-to-developing-niche-games/

All their games were profitable, yet the studio still closed because they were too "niche" Fuck Activision. God damned cancer to gaming and yet they keep pumping out trash after trash.

Of course they were profitable, you don't need to sell a billion copies to make money. The majority of the industry acts like you need to sell 50 million copies to make any money, and people lap it up like it's the one and only truth for all games.

Too bad Kickstarter didn't exist back when Troika did Sad

I know that, you know that, but try telling it to publishers Sad THEY'RE the ones that think you need to sell 50m copies to make the game worthwhile .. it's disgusting Sad I'd give anything for another Vampire game, both Masquerade and Bloodlines are two of my favourite games, it would be amazing to have a third with the old Troika talent.

It's a depressing read indeed. Typical Activision (and most of the publishers these days), which preferred to invest on different studios in order to offer streamlined games than reward innovation and new ideas..it's all dirty business Sad Rage
