You can "rocket" jump with the detonator in previously inaccessible locations, but yes, it still doesn't come near to the soldier / demo jump capability.

I don't play it anymore. Played it for two months after release and loved it. But this new game mode might be a reason to start again.

to me tf2 isnt the same anymore...
BUT i still think its great as a 20 minute distraction. i do a lot of that these days, just hop on and kill my way to the top of the table or until i get bored, then leave. its not a game i can spend hours playing, but its one of my favourite little hop-in, hop-out timewasters.
STILL trying to get my dream tf2 gear set-up though. once i achieve that ill be happy and will never give another shit about tf2 items  my dream set is all made out of old items anyway

For me its exactly the same game i bought at launch except for funny looking albeit kinda pointless Hats and alot more new content, people are overreacting imo, "i stopped playing cuz of hats" Nitpicking much?

I got to play one match late last night. It was fun and hard. Not mind blowing, nothing innovative, but something new in TF2 universe. The fact that you have to wait in line to play the gad damn thing is ridiculous. Was thinking of renting a MvM server, which costs around 32bux/month, but I would need at least a few others that are interested in chipping in and live near Chi-town, IL.

You don't need to queue to join an MvM server. Find one with slots and you're in. My mate and I joined a server that way.

The same way you connect to other TF2 games if you don't want to go through matchmaking. Look for the "servers" button. It's right there on the main page.
Except right now, can't even browse the servers. The list doesn't get populated at all. Shit is really fucked up.
