Hey!

I'm currently in the process of building myself a new rig and I am seeking your advice.

This is what I have currently in mind:

Nevermind the weird language Razz... I think it's obvious what components are what. I'm wondering if the power supply is any good? Does anyone have experience with Corsair Gaming Series PSUs?
Anyways if you have any recomendations of what should I change or not, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for your help Smile

Oh yes, I forgot to mention my budget is around €1200-1300.

no SSD? samsung 830 series if you pick one.

for 25 euros more you can get the AX series 650 gold as PSU, GS series is almost the lowest corsair out there.

650W is completely enough for this kind of machine? I'll upgrade the PSU then Smile
Oh and i'll get the SSD sometime later this year.

One more question. The difference in modular and regular PSUs is only in the cables or is there anything else?

Try for a Gigabyte 670 OV instead Razz

Not sure about the cooler though... I think you could get a smaller case with that one?

Get some GTX 670 with aftermarket cooler on it (Windforce 2x/3x or MSI TFIII or Asus DCII). Other than that looks pretty solid.

I would get a SSD they are cheap enough at the mo even if they are a smaller size on what your after, maybe look around and get a SSD for windows then a bigger drive for everything else I'm sure you may get both in your budget.

Yeah I'm thinking I could downgrade HDD size (i've got a 1TB external anyways) and squeeze an SSD in the budget.

Personally i like the Fractal Design cases better. Their Fractal Design Define R4 looks pretty sweet.

And yes you should get an SSD, go for 240gb or bigger. I've got a 120gb and it's on the small end. Make sure your SSD is big enough in the long run, you'll thank me later.

what about current HDs youve got? any sata drive would do for the sake of storage.

@dr-nix

I checked out the Fractal Design cases and the ones that look good are way too pricy Smile.
As for the SSD, I think i'm still gonna go with 128gb, the other ones are just too expensive.

@Paintface
I'm giving this computer to my GF and I don't have any other HDDs. I added the Samsung 830 series SSD though. All together it comes just a bit above my 1300€ budget, but I'll live. This system has to last quite a bit now Smile
