I'm trying to remember a TV-series that had one season only (I think). I think it was called something with the word "blue" in it. It was about a group of detached undercover police working underground using questionable methods, but with "some" connection to the regular police force.
I remember the leader of the group was pretty suave and he brought on a girl who had a criminal past but was really skilled. Oh also a black guy with a "serious" relationship almost going into marriage, but being unable to reveal his real work - fearing the consequences of this - I also think he cheated on his would be wife iirc.
If I recall correctly in one of the cases they solved a kidnapping that couldn't involve regular police officers, so they played "crooks" (in fact this was usually their play).
Does this ring a bell to anyone? I remember I sort of liked it, but I think it got canceled after one season.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

It must be Dark Blue as the overview is almost identical to the one fisk wrote.
"Dark Blue was an action/drama television series which premiered on TNT on July 15, 2009, at 10 pm (9 pm Central). It ended its run on September 15, 2010.[1] The series is set in Los Angeles, California. It revolves around Carter Shaw (Dylan McDermott), the leader of an undercover unit. He is an officer who has dedicated his life to taking down the worst criminals in L.A., and this dedication has cost him his marriage. His team includes Ty Curtis, a newlywed who struggles between his job and his new life; Dean Bendis, an officer who is so deep in his undercover role that his team is no longer sure which side he is on; and Jaimie Allen, a green patrol cop recruited into the undercover unit because of her dark past and criminal skills."
