Oh nice, it can finally start spreading around to other sites then and ideally be picked up by someone whom can crack the launcher.
(Well, and release it, someone already did that from what I could find.)

I wonder if this uses the same ZDP time zones as usual, would mean it should be possible to activate over a Asian VPN without too much trouble fairly soon.

Yeah it either doesn't work or there's only one unlock date.
(I get the same but 04.00 instead of 05.00 so in comparison to that maybe it doesn't connect properly or it goes by some other thing.)

There's a encryption or such on a few files which when connected against the ZDP server it gets the decryption key and unlocks these files, usually it's just the game exe but here they've been a bit more clever and also linked some of the fmod sound system .dll files to avoid people simply patching the game exe to bypass the launcher. Right, I "solved" it, just change the time zone on your local clock, at -12.00 UTC I managed to get it to display 14.00 Aug 23rd so it should work in a few hours. Smile

Damn i'm almost sure the release time is same everywhere. Won't be unlocked in next 12 hours. I changed to +12 or -12 and the time showed is always 12 hours after this moment.

Edit: I mean -12 UST shows 23-th 14:00 yes, but its 12 hours backwards and date is still 22-nd there by the time it reaches 23-th 14:00. Here in Europe will be 24-th.

True, it tries to match, 00.01 24th August for well I don't really know which time zone but it should be possible to fool it like this, we'll see in around three hours and twenty minutes from now when that first, earliest unlock time is reached.

EDIT: Ah I see you edited the post, now I think I understand better what you mean, still we'll see what happens in less than three and a half hour when that time is reached, hopefully it will work but you could be right, well it's not too far away from the 24th at least. Smile

Also, a new? interview with this weird quote:

Quote:
“I think one of the beauties of the PC is that the hardware spec is obviously very strong. There’s a lot people who are used to gaming on PCs, so if you notice, they have a lot more stronger processing power on top of it,” he said. “In order to maintain the authenticity of what the consoles already have, we basically did make a direct port plus a few tweaks to kind of make things a little bit better. I won’t say it’s moving at 60 frames per second or anything, but it moves to the extent that it satisfies a lot of people’s concerns that they had with it.”

Confused

Namco Bandai PR:

...

And here's the requirements from the readme file.

The images for the Prepare to Die Edition should be from the PC, that's this one and the newer ones before it.

There's some walkthrough previews and such posted earlier in this thread too but they contain even more spoilers.

EDIT: Those were 1920x1080 so upscaling were used if that's how this game does it's resolution handling.

These are 1280x720

Heh, well if the above method works then it unlocks in two hours and seven minutes.
(Offline profile should work after that, or any xlive.dll emulation I would guess.)
