So a modder was able to fix this shit in 20 min? lol the japs sure suck at programing.
I bet in a few days ppl will start modding the textures n shit and we will have our hd port.

yeah I just modded the exe to render at 1920x1080 as well, no DX hook required.
going to try and find the 30fps lock now.

yeah, from was literally too lazy to change like 10 lines of code to use a variable instead of hardcoded resolution. they're full of shit. i still love this game though Crying or Very sad

Oh well, I'm usually not too picky about games being crappy console ports, but this one.. this one takes the fucking prize for being the most shitty one, and a disgrace for the PC. It took them so long to just.. just do nothing? Put a fucking PC DVD-ROM sign on the cover?

At least the game didn't stutter when I tried it, generally aside from the terribad visuals it was playable as long as you're equipped with a 360 controller.

Now if only I had a proper crack and a couch...Laughing

That's nice, but if it requires changing the exe it might be problematic to alter without breaking the whole LIVE thing (Thus killing the ability to save the game.) I suppose a modified xlive.dll to fix that once and for all would help otherwise you'd need something similar to a trainer that patches in memory. Smile

They should pirate it instead, that's all that FROM really deserves for such a shitty port.

Well I dunno. I start at 29-30 when I run out of the cell, then it dips down to 20 when I jump in the water, goes back to 30 and stays there when I jump in and out of the pool. When I run all the way back to the cell and back to the pool it dips again. Sup with that?

Well that sounds pretty cool then, anything to fix that utterly pathetic framebuffer stuff. I just tried the game for myself and... honestly... it's one of the ugliest damned things I've seen in a long, long time, the aliasing and muddled visuals are just.. well they're depressing Sad The controls are ever bit as bad as we thought they'd be too -- I touched the mouse for half a second and immediately realised how broken it was, so I reached for the pad.

GTAIV at least had configuration options Very Happy

Performance seems 30 locked so far, but I haven't gotten to the Asylum boss yet.

found the framerate lock but the game runs faster when you modify it to run at 60, trying to see if it can be fixed to run normal speed while still rendering at 60 now. just wait till people start speed hacking in pvp Sad
the sleep is at 0644C7A if anyone else feels like playing around with it

Even if the resolution and the framerate get fixed, I won't play it. That idiotic HUD (actually pretty much the whole UI) is a deal breaker for me. Also, I don't know how that lock-on actually works but I can see already how much it would annoy me. Don't really care right now anyway. I'm still playing the amazing Sleeping Dogs right now (I think it's my GOTY so far, although Dishonored will launch...).
