yes, get the res fix and a gamepad and you are about to play one of the best rpgs in a long time.

do not play it vanilla and with kb+mouse.

I mean it's supposed to be the counter near your health right? the one that's at 00.

Yet i've "collected" humanity and it hasn't changed.

What's up? And what does it do?

Hmm how to describe it best, maybe http://darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/Humanity but there is some spoilers about what is altered in regards to being human and being hollow along with how to use humanity (And "soul" items.) to actually gain them instead of just using them as items.

Essentially certain "online" requirements need the player to be human to function and this includes a number of things from events to certain quests and other behavior, which is kinda understandable since in Demons Soul you had spirit and living and here it's replaced with hollow or human type undead.

Not sure how to best explain. Smile
(Humanity is also a limited resource - some areas can be farmed if you have the patience for it - so don't waste it.)

humanity is an item, you use it whenever you need it but its best to carry it around unused untill that time as if you do use it and die you will lose it all

you can pick it up though, so it's not a huge deal, depending on where you die.

You can pick up humanity as well but the one you used to reverse hollowing will be lost, also of course dying again means losing it all.

Well, I tried it and I can get used to the controls (I think). What I can't get used to are the fucking black bars and the idiotic HUD. And there actually is a HUD option but if you turn it off you won't know how much health you have and all that, so... It's still a very broken game. I'll play it when/if these things get fixed. Until then, fuck it up the arse.

The forced 16:9 aspect ratio can be a bit annoying, you could try to set a screen resolution you want (Well you already have.) and then downsample to a 16:9 higher resolution, I don't mind them that much though but they are there.

HUD would be nice if it had a toggleable option or such or you could disable individual elements separately, maybe some other mod project could solve that.

Does anyone have camera problems? I have windows mouse pointer showing up on the screen and camera controls (looking around) aren't smooth.

Nah, awesome game which plays better on PC even if they didnt put any effort into it... the loading times from my SSD is incredible compared to my slow-ass and extremely loud 360, framerate is better, graphics is better. I didnt mind paying for that + there's new content..

It's just so sad how bad of a port this game got.. Feels so nice actually seeing something else than a blurred mess like on consoles. There's some actually nice textures and details in the game.. who knew?

Since they put 0 effort into the port = no money from me. I wouldn't even play it pirated if not for the resolution fix.

And I'm not even gonna start on the mouse control. "Hurrdurr it was made for gamepudz" doesn't mean it wouldn't work perfectly if they had actually bothered.

Thanks, and yes, the people that ported this should commit seppuku! It's shameful to see a bunch of people that don't work in the industry solving in matter of days what the devs couldn't fix in months.... Very Happy

It's still capped but it actually runs at 30fps constantly instead of the 14-20fps mess of the PS360 versions.
