Okay once the game fully downloaded to 100% I found that I had to close the downloader (the launcher has a login button but it fails). I then launched GW2 from the desktop icon. It then downloaded a small patch and then I was able to login and play.
Does world selection effect ping or are they all in the same server farm so my ping would be the same regardless? There's no ping displaying in the 'world selection' screen.

am i the only one with problems? if so, fucking typical. Can log in 50% of the times and each time i actually enter the game i get a endless loading screen with what sounds like ingame sounds in the background or just blackscreen.
