Sorry TC. Not interested in plying. Seems like boring work.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

The game is miserable, lacks precision and lacks everything what CSS managed to achieve.
That piece of shit m4a1 looks like a toy gun and somehow I can't handle the new weapon spreads.

I rarely get a kill, also tried the Sniper Rifles which look retarded.
I remember the AWP in CSS, the whole map knew when you shot a bullet and the VFX was also strong.
It's still just a Left4Dead 2 stand alone expansion for me.

Damn, can't remember the last time I played CS or CSS. I still miss the old cs beta 5, 6 and 7. Those were awesome. Even retail version 1.0 was good after getting used to it. VIP maps and vehicle maps were just great to play. So much fun.

Do you have to set some cv rates and other commands here in this game like in CSS? Or is it ok with default?

If you know it then you damn sure shouldn't call this CS. I'm not being elitist, I'm being a realist. The way CSS and this handle is so completely different that it just cannot be called a sequel, it's a spinoff at best. Every CoD game, from 1 to at least BO (last one I bothered with) handles exactly the same. They get easier with every version because they reduce recoil and what not, but in the way movement and aiming works hasn't changed a bit. In CSS and CSGO everything is different; even throwing nades is a whole different ballgame.
Now whether you like it or not, that's how it is. Anyone saying the difference is not that big either hasn't played or is aweful at playing FPS games. The difference is as big as it is between Quake 3 and UT'99, fucking huge.

So...is the game worth the buy if there has been MANY MANY MANY years without touching CS1.6?.....Me being a constant TF2 player (though Diablo 3 has taken my time for a bit...too long...+170 hours...)

If you're looking for your online real-weapons FPS fix and that you don't really care whether it's true to CS1.6 ( kinda like me ), then it's worth the buy, since it's not that expensive.

Lately we’ve been hinting at some of the big changes on the way for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
On Monday, we will release a major update to CS:GO. It will feature a revised matchmaking system for Classic Competitive mode, two maps (the classic de_vertigo and the fast-paced ar_monastery), and a ton of bug fixes based on community feedback. |
