...but so far I love it. The game feels great. Also, what an amazing soundtrack! Especially in the main menu.
Agreed. A very fun game. The soundtrack is great, and Peter Cullen's voice just never gets old.

Is the story good? Or is this not that kinda game?
I've just finished the first portion of the game and I think the story is on par, if not better, than the first game. I think any fan of G1 will really enjoy it.

I forgot to mention... this game's graphics aren't that special from a technical point of view, but damn, the level design and all that are amazing. The game really looks great.

Again I have to agree with you. The further I get in the game, the more I am smiling at the level design of Cybertron. I'm also enjoying the dialog during missions (for instance, the Jazz/Cliffjumper level).

Interesting that everyone is able to play. I am running it on Win7/64 w/Cat 12.8 drivers and I can't even get a loading screen. The most I get is the cursor changing like it's going to load then nothing, no errors or anything lingering in memory. This is with the skidrow files of course copied to Binaries.
Things I have tried:
1. Set the date to the 23rd.
3. Launch the game as Admin.
2. Reinstalled, installed with Run As Admin and also installed the DirectX files included.
3. Played with setting the compatibility to XP SP3 and just Win7.
4. Disable Anti-virus / Firewall.

The game wouldn't work for me at all until I made my AV allow that buddha.dll to remain on my machine after copying it over, and installed Steam. Since having Steam installed has never been a requirement, I avoided having it on my machine altogether. Once installed, the game started right up.

Haven't tried the first one but the few gameplay videos that I've seen and the positive comments got me curious, grabbing it. Sounds like it's much better than the Baymovies
Just finished the Cliff and Jazz missions. These guys are so damn awesome in this game! Also, the level with Jazz was really great thanks to his grappling hook. I love this game. I expected at least the same quality of War for Cybertron, but I was surprised to find it even better. It's the best Transformers game so far, with its older brother right behind.
@ixi This is proper Transformers material, not Bay crap. It's mostly for the fans of the old cartoons, not those of the new movies. I'm really suprised how many of those old transformers they put in this game. So much win! Give it a try at least. War for Cybertron is also quite great and I never understood why it was so hated.

Thanks for the tip, I have disabled my AV when launching but that didn't help. I do have Steam on the system, tried exiting before launching but no luck. I will look deeper at both of these and see if I can figure something out.
Sorry for another post, but look what I'm downloading now thanks to this game:
Transformers 1984 Animated Series Season 1 DVDRIP (WAZZ)
Transformers 1984 Animated Series Season 2 DVDRIP (WAZZ)
Transformers 1984 Animated Series Season 3 & 4 DVDRIP (WAZZ)
Transformers.The.Movie.1986.720p.BluRay.x264-hv
So given that Fall is a sequel to War, should I acquire and play War first? Thanks guys
no
all that needed to be said about those has been said in the recap intro both games where such a crap fest on the story department it sucked but this game wow it was like watching a good cartoon
