Aparently his dad works for Microsoft and is testing it or something,
of course he will be lucky to ever see another xbox after this  , and the original pics didnt have that dopey block on his face.
It was all ove rthe xbox sites a few days ago.

I actually believe it's fake. For something as big as the Xbox 360, I don't think Microsoft would let any engineer take an XBox360 prototype to their homes. And also what kind of Microsoft Engineer has that kind of apartment.

Well he can only play Xbox games on it, so maybe it's not such a big deal.

well thats something we can only see after both consoles have been released.
the processors are very different and nobody can say for sure how much difference the cell chip makes and how nvidia's gpu will work.
even if the x360 is more powerful which i doubt,
i d still get ps3 cuz of the library and due to slowly turning into a sony fanboy
(not really proud of that).
anyway that guy is such an idiot posting his picture on the net, one must lead a really pathetic life to put an opportunity to show off before one's own security.

Its fake here is why,
No lights are turn on
the xbox 360 power button should light up green,
A xbox is hidden under the back of the pillow behind him which is showing the start up logo from the 360 from a xbox demo dvd....
Case might be real but thats all it is just a case nothing inside it

1. This could be true, MS don't have as tight a security as you may think, seriously..
2. His step dad is now fired  (assuming this is all true..)
3. Gamespot points out this could easily be MS viral advertising, this is typical of MS as they done the same with Halo 2 and if you guys hadnt realised, its worked !
Id put my money on one of 2 things, photoshop or viral. I doubt someone would ever take photo's of alpha hardware, I have no doubt someone has one sitting in they're homes, but to take a photo and post it on a popular form? Thats utter maddness and is bound to get you into trouble. MS will know how many machines are out there, they will know where to look should one appear in a situation like this, and they will fire the person who is "in charge" of this system.
But I doubt that is the case.

What exactly would be the harm of this if true? E3 is over, everyone knows what the Xbox360 looks like, and he's simply playing Halo 2 on it. Seems to me that Microsoft should be happy they're getting a lot of free publicity over a kid playing with their machine. Its certainly cheaper than the MTV special they paid for.

oh damn dont remind me of the mtv special, that was the saddest event ever.
cmon they didnt even show games, the main attraction of the show wasnt the xbox or its games but the hype and bullshit itself and all the crappy bands.
it was basically come cheapass concert with a glowing xbox in the middle of the hall.

if i really had the hardware it self i would take pictures of the internal components and make some sort of virtual schematic so if the original is some what close to the beta kit then as modders we are one step close to releasing a modchip early. LOL sorry thinking to evil lately, LOL, has to be that stupid Team Lead in my work. LOL
