Some good stuff there, but really chopper is not invurnable at least on my hands xD Well I'va been to those chopper rapes, so it's ok. Bigger problem is jet with top pilot. Only way to kill them is with another jet and if you don't have a 145 rank jet pilot in the team, well though luck.

But the main reason is this:
• FIM92 and IGLA now lock on to air vehicles at both lower altitudes and longer distances.
- fly past with jet and soflam/igla can't' lock in time and when they finally do the jet is out of range. So hopefully them fixing the silly nerf will make those things a bit usable now. Down side is say bye bye to choppers, every inf can drop you now with igla Smile

• M16A3: Recoil amounts slightly increased.
- This is great, every other LONG range kill with non sniper weapon is that. I got killed so many times accross the map with that weapon while working on the sniper achievement. It really was silly, that should fix it.

• 44 Magnum: Rate of fire reduced slightly to highlight this side arm’s role as a slow firing heavy hitter
- again I mostly die to this pistol, good nerf. It seems that good you might as well not use main weapon (one shotted every time, compared to 5-10bullets on main gun)

A number of weapons have had their reload timers adjusted to better fit their animations and gameplay balance.
• Long reload reduced: ... QBB-95 ....
- main reason I died with this gun is the horribly slow reload. Already has quite bad recoil, so should be good now.

Lots other good stuff too, now if they just fixed the server dependent unfair advantage lag, I'd by premium instantly. Every session of BF3 you find (low ping) a server where you die and after that you get the hit noise and death animation. Just impossible to play (unless you like dying much). Few servers where enemy clearly has advantage on who can fire first. More rare are low ping servers that actually lag, like players skipping/rubberbanding.

Rest of the servers are fine, but it's impossible to know unless you go and play a bit on everyone of them. Gets really frustrating as it's been there all the time (and BC2 too).

i think the way to fix all this igla bullshit is just to increase the speed of the rocket it self , what use of it if a jet can just outrun my rocket which happens too often.

I agree. But what they did instead was make choppers a flying coffin. Most useless vehicle in the battlefield it will become. It was supposed to reward you actually waiting for a gunner before taking off. Now it will be all the same if you decide to fly solo or not, a sure death.

after about 1 year they realise "oh,2 flares could be a problem",nice one.
also: the igla/stinger "fix" is just reverting their nerf in the 6 months old patch.

Wait Question When ever there is chopper on the map it's like this Mind Is Full Of Fuck chopper/

Game really needs 2 choppers (well armored kill might fix that), chopper base whoring is sooo bad on some times there is half the team waiting/fighting over it, meanwhile enemy controls all the flags. Not to mention the "get out get out, it's for my friend" pilots that go and crash the chopper with you in it just because you didn't let them have it all the time.. Rolling Eyes

Only if your team sucks dude. Everytime a chooper starts whoring in the other team and if I'm playing with my friends, we only need two coordinated Stinger/IGLA (three is good to be sure) and he's gone. Back to the spawn waiting. Next time we die we wait for our chopper and keep the enemy chopper busy enough (if he's good enough, otherwise we just kick his ass in like 10 seconds) as to not be raping our trroops.

That's all it's about, you need to use team play to overcome difficult situations, period.

Does the armoured dlc add any new vechiles? tanks planes etc i hope it does we need a maasive map with more vechiles not just the standard ones weve had since bf2 nothing has chamged at all.

Not that, own team whoring the only team shopper. Shooting it with tank rgp what ever and racing to get in. Half the time the chopper blows up in base.

Bullshit patch, it's gonna make the chopper unusable unless you stay above your base...
In almost every game there's 3 or 4 good jet pilots, you hover or fly high and you're dead...
There's one or two soflams and respective javelin campers that target you even before you get to where the action is, beep beep, ecm, fire some missiles, turn around, beep beep lock, javelin, annnnnnnnnnnd you're dead... (not to mention the fucking guided shell which isn't affected by flares)
Let's fly low then, hard enough as is with all the tanks on the map, now, the fucking IGLA and STINGER will lock on to you too AND from farther away, beep beep, ecm, beep beep beeeeeeep, wait NO FUCKING GUNNER FLARES, FUCKINGBOOM!!!!!!

I remember back then when Stinger/IGLA were totally useless, then they fixed them and you were able to use them effectively in coordinated team play, it's been fair since then. Now they just will make it unbalanced again, just towards the opposite end

It's been possible all along since they fixed Stinger/IGLAS. You just won't be able to do it if you're playing solo, this is supposed to be a team oriented game in case you didn't notice Wink

Really? We had 3 people firing at a heli using stingers and we hardly hurt it.

Edit: Btw, being teambased doesnt mean that you need several guys equiped with stingers to take down a plane/heli.

We're talking about helicopters here. Taking down a jet with Stinger/IGLA or SOFLAM/Javelin is impossible unless the pilot sucks really bad. Your best bet for that would be the Mobile AA though, hits them really hard even with the missiles. And no, the same does not apply to helicopters, not even close.

@Ankh, if three of you aren't able to take one chopper down (irrespective of how good the pilot is) then you're doing it wrong. I do that all the time with only one friend of mine on Sharqi, which is the map where the chopper whoring is the most prominent.

Yeah, it's one thing to take out a heli with just ecm or flare...but if they are combined its next to impossible. BUT that will change with the patch so I dont really care now Razz

If only DICE weren't waiting three f...ing months to issue a patch that fixes a couple of bugs and introduces a new nasty one at the same time. Things would be so different. They would be able to test subtler tweaks which is the way to go when you want to balance things out, instead of going all the way with a too radical change that you'll have to live with for the next three months.

Yet another fine studio being ruined by EA.
