ur abit wrong dude.... sometimes when these sympthoms appear,its too late and the card is damaged.
i would suggest staying with the 5.6. at least this is my opinion.

CPU : AMD "Barton" 2500+.
Memory : 768MB DDR PC2100.
GFX : Nvidia 6600GT DDR3 128MB , AGPx8
M\B: Gigabyte GA-7VT600P-RZ MotherBoard
Sound: AC97 Realteck 5.1 ALC655 - Audio.

No I'm not wrong.
Anyway, these 5.7 drivers will NOT in any way damage your card, it might get abit hotter (I highly doubt it will for most) but it will be far from the highest degree the card can take so it's all fine.

weired that since i've installed 5.7's i started having some glitches and a week after..the card was damaged and i had to buy a new one.
anyway,this way or another..i sweitched to NVIDIA card.

Hi there fellows... can any1 here help me? I can't patch to the new 1.02 update... I did update the 1.01 version but uninstalled and went back to 1.0... now i'm trying to update the game and seems to be a problem...

I've already uninstalled, reinstalled twice... deleted the EA GAMES folder and NOTHING... I just CAN'T patch the game... can u help me guys?

PS: After the error msg, there's a "complete" screen... but the game doesn't update... it's still 1.0....

Install 1.01 and on it 1.02. 1.02 is only a hotfix, it fix shit with 1.01.

EA support told me to uninstall, remove the BF2 folder in "my documents" and possibly delete anything in the registry regarding BF2. Do a fresh install and then only install 1.02. You should also manually install PB.
 ... but even worse, it releases satan.

h,mmm just updated then tried mounting the dvd image off gcw and screen goes black a few times then back to desktop.did reinstall daemon and change driver name to avoid blacklisting.anyone else have trouble with dvd mini-image?
what to do now?wtf is the cracked nocd??????

It's not a daemon-tools problem or a mini image problem.
Fix the "renderer.allowAllRefreshRates" in the videodefault.con file.
Or disable your refreshforce program.

well i managed to be able to play with 64 bots in the single player..
does any one has any fuc**** idea how do i make the maps big enough for 64 players and not 16..???
because the game is bearly moving?

tried deleting profiles but didnt work and they reaapera. pallebrun I dont see such a line in the video.con and therefore dunno what to do.i dont think ive got multires or such installed either so not forcing refresh rate.

ok i set allow refresh to 1. now it still does black screen thing then back to desktop. so i take it problem lies elsewhere?sorry for being retartded.
