I found where the problem with the "corrupt" save lies in. It's the .exe for the last patch that doesn't enable all the DLCs I think. If I switch to the one for the previous patch the game and save work, but the performance seemed to be horrible (it might not be related though) and the bug with the Phasewalker isn't fixed. The new options also seem to be there, but they don't save like that. Skidrow might have fucked up on this one.

Go to cs.rin, they fixed it by hex editing the save file.

They removed some of the DLC files with this latest patch, perhaps that's why it won't work?
(Seems the above method could solve it though.)

Thanks for letting me know. That did the trick! Performance is also fine. I just needed to restart my PC again. Also, shadows seem to be fine here... as in they don't fuck up the performance of the game if I crank them up. The difference in quality is not that big anyway.

I get what should be acceptable framerates when setting shadows to max (40-55fps) but the camera is jittery, reacts slowly and skips frames.
The camera seems to work fine only if the game runs at stable 60 frames per second but I cant stand those pixelated shadows.

Well, I finished the game. It seems I didn't have much left. The ending was dissapointing to be honest. It just felt... lame. Maybe it's just that I was expecting something as epic as the first game's ending. I don't know. Overall, I like it better than the first, but there are still things that the first one does better. The pacing is one of those I think. Anyway, it was a great game. I'll keep my saves (as always) and go through NG+ at some point, but for now it was enough. Took me around 42 hours to finish it I think. I missed 3 pages from the last chapter of the book and quite a few of the stonebites, but other than that I did pretty much everything. Also, I only did the 1-50 waves in the Crucible, since it only gave me the 51-75 near the end of the game. From what I understand, the last round of waves are only in NG+ so no point in doing those either.

Game runs smooth as butter on my setup with settings maxed out.
If you are an nvidia user make sure you disable the control panel ambient occlusion if you enable it in game as that would likely create some sort of conflict.
And yeah, i've really been enjoying this game. I've seen a lot of people ragging on it, but the only real thing to complain about is the camera. Other then that it is a solid action/adventure with plenty of replay value.

The game seems to be much better after the third update, more responsive controls and the gamepad-friendly auto-camera can be easily turned off for maximum pleasure. It took them a while but it finally plays right on PC. It looks even better, too.

For the Real Ending™, buy the new extended epilogue DLC for just $14.99 (or 16.99€ if you're in Europe, because fuck you, europeans)!

No, that one will be a prequel to Darksiders 2. Darksiders 6 will be a sequel to the first Darskiders. I spoke to one of the devs over Skype and he told me those are their plans for the franchise.

So whats up with the dlc in this game? Skidrow seems bugged, I can select Argul's tomb but all the texts are written in code. There are a dozen or so more dlc folders, I guess its bonus weapons? Do they work with Skidrow? I tried using lumaemu but the game crashes.

Do you still have the DLC15 files? the patch removed those so it's just the version and title again plus it updated DLC16 and 17 from what I can see but they previously also only had title and version files.

Yeah, the DLC15 files are there, the folder is 476mb.
The dlc level loads and everything seems to work but the texts are all messed up.
I played a bit and got to the inbox terminal, there were already 10 messages waiting for me with all kinds of armor and weaponry, so I guess this was the rest of the DLC.

I guess those were asset files then, plus there's the dlc1.pck amongst the sound files which is likely the audio the DLC uses.
However the text itself might not yet be present if it displays all messed up, maybe it'll be added closer to when the DLC will be released, shouldn't be that far away now if I remember correctly.

I updated this game to and now it runs slow, even the menus... I uninstalled the game, reinstall and only applied till update 2. It still runs slow. I have an I5 with a geforce gtx560ti and 8 gigs of RAM... What could be the problem here? The game ran smooth, but now it's unplayable

Try deleting the settings file?
Maybe the options were there but it wasn't until this patch they were exposed so you are still using higher settings than before?
(The file is coded so you can't just alter it with a text editor either if I remember properly.)

Yeah the rushed and buggy release (on all platforms!) probably didnt help to boost the sales...
its a shame, i doubt we will see how the story continues unfortunatly.

Have you tried fast traveling away from the location (Like to the first hub area.) and then returning by foot to allow the area to reset?
(Seems so.)
Also have you used any trainers or so since there are functions which will cause the game to not load certain data if you skip ahead or such.

Yeah I walked back all the way and returned again, didnt help.
Never used any trainers or save editors and started a new game right after installing the latest update.
