4.5GB preload is for the international version, Ruski version only gets 4MB

I can understand retail games being out on Tuesday in US and Friday EU, but I still don't get it why they keep doing it to the digital versions too? Digital ones should be simultaneous...

Last i heard it had mainly to do when the various retailers in the US and EU calculate weekly sales, so they're usually released tuesday/friday because that gives them the biggest chance of topping the sales charts?

Nah, they are starter guns. Meaning once you are something like lvl 15, they are garbage compared to loot you find.
Only long use gun in BL1 was The Clipper that you got early on, as it was high firerate and fire elemental. Could light up Skags nicely, even if they took longer to die.

I still haven't got an answer, but several people are reporting that they got offers for a refund to steam wallet/credit card or to stay with the RU lock. I was wondering if anyone here knows if GW2 is a good investment?

Once you've grabbed the achievement data they'll unlock offline. Never had a problem with them before and doing the old VPN unlock.

No, just buy BL2 from someone from UK/US/proper EU place and have him gift it. |
I'm not going to pay them a single cent after this fiasco.

Sabin, update for you - Notice: Purchases of Borderlands 2 made in Russia will be playable in Russian language only.
It has just appeared o the game page in steam.
I have prepurchased a shitload of time ago and now i get this?!

Sadly I won't get my key until EU release... and even then, it seems like Retail/Steam have been merged now with both being IP/language locked. YAY(!)
