Sadly that's what is happening with today's games. Uncharted feels that way for sure, it's just too easy... I thought Crystal Dynamics were smart enough to provide an optional help in TRA and TRU to help people being stuck, but since the team changed a lot with the reboot, I'm not sure what will happen to the next one.
That gameplay trailer though was definitely interesting, even though there wasn't any puzzle at all.

Man, you reminded me. I have completely forgotten about Tomb raider Underworld. I completed legends, but never played much Underworld. Is the Legends DLC worth it? and the DLCs for Underworld also ofc.

There weren't any Legend DLC. If you have a JTAG/Glitch 360, make sure to get the TRU DLC, they were great. The game itself is great too if you liked TR Legend / TRA, although my favorite of the 3 remains TRA.
Also, I see you have a CFW 3.55 PS3, make sure to grab TR Trilogy then, it has the best looking versions of TR Legend and TRA. TRU is the same though and the DLC are still only available on the 360.

What was the latest and greatest for this game to be running on 3.55 cfw?
I have the DUPLEX release, and I see some fixes floating around:
Uncharted.3.REAL.PROPER.FIX.for.CFW.3.55.PS3-SCEA
Uncharted.3.All.Versions.PSARC.Patch.v2.1-MOTE
Uncharted.3.PROPER.FIX.KMEAW355.READNFO.v4-Nobody
Are any of those what I want? I'm assuming the game still can't be patched?

basically there are 2 kinds of fixes for uc3. fixes that tell you to extract files and fixes that don't.
uc3 in extracted files format takes like 2x longer to load and then you get terrible texture pop ins etc., so get the fix that just overwrites or patches psarc files with no extraction.

uncharted 2 > uncharted 3 > unch 1 , still 3 is awesome too, but 2 is a fakin masterpiece from start to finish

only uncharted 1 was great the other parts where just plain retarded ... people only praise UC2 only of its MP and thats it same with UC3, the campaign was crap but yeah Caludia Black fan will say effing no  UC3 pushed the ps3 to its limits but again like uc2 what was the point ... from a well written Indiana Jones game it became this shit fps with big explosions |

the thing is what was "great" in it , visually it looked stunning but for that i don't play games ... story wise it was a disaster ,
Uc1 was presented as a simple story that was deep in itself , one looking for his ancestor only to find a empty coffin that leads his to the temple of The Golden Man {eldorado} that leads him to a german nazi sub that leads him to a german nazi station that was the hiding plce of his pirate ancestor that was transformed by the nazis to develop uber soldiers with the help of The Golden man that was in reality a coffin made by the aztecs to store a alien that has a virus that turns people into zombies and this coffin was also build to prevent it to spreed that leads you to a cannibal cult of those that where infect that leads you to the last stand with terrorist that wanted this virus as a bio weapon...
a simple story the search of eldorado made into a action film in the theme on Indiana Jones
UC2 a story about the search of Marco Polo treasure that leads you to Himalayasto find the tree of life ... a simple story made convoluted presented in chaotic way of Quentin Tarantino
UC3 tried to redeem itself by using the same concept of UC1 "search of ancestors" dropping the convoluted presentation of Quentin Tarantino to mimicing Lara Croft Tomb Raider 3  and flowing the same pasterns of UC 1 ... lost city [check] ... secret military organization that wants to find a plague to control people [check] ... it was so funny i just laughed
the thing is UC 2 and UC3 lack luster story line was sold only by the magic of HD graphics that stunned people they could finally play a game that looked like a CGI movie ... not only that but they could play it in co-op and in MP
Game of the year ... but not for me ...

yes we established that multiple times, 3rd game isn't as good. even naughty dog admitted they were rushed by sony to release faster which caused game quality to suffer.

I just don't understand what purpose all the shooting sequences serve. There was a lot of shooting in UC2 too, but the adventuring parts were on par or even bigger. In UC3 though, it's all about shooting.

i will explain , all cutscenes in this game are rendered CGI VIDEOS !!!! on BD version they are in 720p 3200 bitrate but this digital version has all those cutscenes rendered in FULL HD 1080p 5k birate

nice hehe.
I've had U3 sitting in my collection since the day it came out but never got around to beating it. Loved the uncharted series, especially 2. From what some people said this one is the weakest of the 3 though.... and now after beating tomb raider I don't know how much I've been spoiled by it. Need to get to this one finally.
