I do not have a super PC, but mine craptastic laptop do the job, if configured correctly. With this said, I messed around the .ini, and disabled dynamic shadows, a few other options. What impacts performance the most is the dynamic lights. Unfortunately if disabled, all the weapons turn black.
Plus, when in the inventory (backpack), the FPS goes down the drain. With dynamic lights on or off. It just cut them in half.
So, does anyone have some performance tweaks?

How do you force it to use on CPU then (if you can do it at all)? Because my CPU usage didn't increase at all with physx on med, and yet i get only ~40 fps vs ~110 on low, and my CPU ain't exactly not good enough to handle such things if needed...

It uses CPU by default and it doesn't have to be forced, probably it just runs on a single core or maybe even thread so CPU efficiency and base clock speed are more important than number of cores and even then it's going to be noticeable slower than with GPU acceleration.
(Cloth can't be GPU accelerated at all from what I know nor can the basic ragdolls.)
Strange that you get such a huge difference in performance, I'll see if I can find some other info but I guess it's just not optimized for CPU as discussed earlier in the thread.
EDIT: Checking your system that CPU should be fine, strange.

*If you purchased Borderlands 2 in Lithuania, you will receive two versions of the game in your library at launch. Both version are playable for you, but cannot be gifted.
Worldwide Version
The worldwide version of the game will contain the following languages (English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish).
Multiplayer will be available with everyone playing this version of the game worldwide.
Russian Version
The Russian version of the game will be playable in Russian language only.

Found this on the 2nd area shortly after fighting that bullywog/midget hybrid, lvl 5 ATM:
It really sounds like a canon and so far is taking down most grunts in one shot... not bad I think!

The razor was nice, but projectiles were all over the place so I stopped using it after an hour. Wait till you get the better guns, some are really fun. I really like the guns which explode on reload, very handy. The first chance you get use a gun with elemental damage, so fun to seem them burn or electrocuted. Also, love the sniper rifles, they rock. Headshots FTW. Explore everywhere, especially those big cases with guns are hidden and contain very nice weapons.
Money seems a bit useless. I rarely buy anything since the drops are much better anyway, so I have 26k already with nothing to spend it on.
