I got an orange shield as a quest reward from the Siren from the first game. Did everyone get that or is there a chance for random legendaries as quest rewards as well? I hear people saying they haven't got any yet so maybe that's the case.
Also, I load up a new Siren to run to Sanctuary so I can share a few items. The very first boss, knuckledragger, drops an orange pistol at such a low level it doesn't even have a level requirement on it. Then she hits another orange at level 6 from that midget rider on the glacier level. Two before I even get her to Sanctuary where as my Commando at level 33 has seen 4 the entire time. Maybe I should be playing her with that kind of luck!

Quest rewards are always the same (and, apart from a few exceptions, they all scale to your level) - the legendary Firehawk shield is one of the better ones, and the only legendary quest reward.

If not then just wait until you do, you'll really REALLY want to fire up New Vegas by then.

Not much is known about her (Based on the BL2 wiki and a few previews I've read.) but it should make for a interesting and somewhat fresh character class compared to the current four ones that are somewhat based on the previous games classes.
Might give it a try though since I normally stick to single player I probably will use a save editor and bypass the first playthrough that way to get right into the action.
EDIT: Right I forgot about the four DLC campaigns.

I can't get this to run
I had it working, once, but now I just can't launch it, no errors, nothing. Tried Skidrow amd 3DM cracks and I get nothing. I'm using Windows 8 64 Pro.
Am I missing something?

Not sure, try win 7 compatibility mode? Did you have it running on 7 or 8? Afaik, most games don't support win 8 yet.

Already tried everything suggested I'm sure I had it running in Win 8. Reinstalled all the redists and the game a few times now.
It's puzzling, there is no error, nothing.

Yes buddha.dll won't work with Windows 8 at all, I don't know why exactly but that could be the problem.
EDIT: Sorry, it should start with the exe set to Windows 95 compatibility, however there is a performance hit in doing this.

I keep most of the extra stuff disabled and more or less use it as Windows version 6.2 which it basically it, none of that Metro stuff or well there's not much of it, security and speed advantages were one of the main reasons I switched but also because I always tend to upgrade software and OS's, so far there's only been one larger driver problem but otherwise it's more or less like Windows 7 so I don't really see much of a difference there.
Just because it's basically a slight update of Windows 7 with a few under the hood changes and a interface overhaul there's also no real need to upgrade either.
I wonder what Windows 7.0 will actually be like, or more recently that "Blue" thing they are working on.
EDIT: Ah interesting, guess it goes with this then.
