Looper - 4/10 - Disappointed. Could have been alot better. All the praise and great reviews are simply not true. Barely a sci fi - more like a romance with slim plot and quite boring. Unrealistic time travelling techniques.

Oh no was looking forward to that one Sad You sure it is not the expectation that got you down?

So I havent gotten around to watching the new Saints and Soldiers 2, but the first one was decent. Just a little tuesday ww2 advice.

Its a great film mate. It reminded me of Minority Report, though perhaps with a little bit more romance, but I wouldn't call this a romantic film by any stretch.

Chernobyl Diaries - 6/10

Somebody played Stalker Very Happy probably the only reason I kinda liked the movie, Pripyat and Chernobyl atmosphere.

Expendables - 6/10. I got what I expected, a cheesy action movie. Nothing great but I wasn't bored at least.

EDIT: Oh yeah and it was pretty awesome seeing all those guys together, for nostalgia sake.

Excision - 9/10 - Excellent movie! Now this is a real movie and no hollywood trash (see loopers). Anne McCord and Traci Lords just amazing acting..Still disturbed by it..means it was good!

Totally agree with you. Perhaps I was expecting too much, but I was disappointed and was bored most of the movie. The actions scenes seemed cheap and stupid and the whole thing was kinda dragged out. Also some plot holes that disturbed me, and of course a huge hole with the whole time traveling shit.

Rock of Ages - 6/10

I have watched better musicals than this one. The songs of rock origin didn't have the proper kick to them. The film itself had some cheesy and over the top moments that made me laugh.

What ? Wanted had way more memorable action sequences than Abe. Abe had some cool scenes as well, but there were only a few unfortunately.

A pleasant surprise. Both Bruce Grenwood and John Dimaggio are great as Batman and Joker.

the first action sequence in abe was pretty damn impressive. more awesome than the action sequences in wanted. only thing i remember from wanted is bullet bending lol. and three sequences where it was used in a cool fashion. over here pretty much every fight scene is just full of slow-mo, it's over the top, visually enhanced for the visually impaired... it's like a luc besson scripted movie.

yes it's derp. but it's a fun kind of derp.

rofl, wanted to reply like "what you expect from a lowbudget c-movie, which i thought it was, judging by the title. But went to imdb to check first.

69 million for a movie with a lowbudget c-movie name and flair WTF.

haha for a second i thought you meant "The GREAT dictator" from 1940. I had an urge to punch you through the screen hrhr.

So, Cohens new movie is also crap ? Who would've guessed after the crappy Boran and abysmal Brüno Smile

Only thing he ever did, that was good, was his Ali G show and the character of Ali G doing interviews. Boran and Brüno etc are all simply crap.

Of course thats my opinion, but i think i am not the only one thinking so Smile

In Bruges (2008) - 6/10 - A few laugh out loud moments, but it really doesn't get going till the end. Not a bad film, just not really to my taste.

Seeking a Friend For the End of the World (2012) - 7.5/10 - Yea I watched a rom-com (what can I say, I'm a sucker for Knightley Very Happy). The film does a unique portrayal of the whole "end of the world" bit and Carrel does a great job as the disillusioned salesman. Not too shabby for what it was, enjoyed it.

its not an action movie.

Commando 5/10
This has got to be one of the cheesiest movies ive ever seen. Acting was shit all around. Lots of movie mistakes - I could see the equipment they used to roll over the car and send men flying after grenade explosions. Arnie was an awesome presence as ever, but his acting was shit even compared to his normal skills. The reason it gets this high of a score is because of the cheese, arnie and some decent action scenes.

This is Spinal Tap 7/10
Half of it was meh, but there were some really funny moments. Everything with the stonehenge stuff was golden.

The 99.9% of the action movies from the 80s-early90s are cheesy, it's their trademark xD

They don't have to be taken seriously though, otherwise no fun will be had. Very Happy
