Yes, as a matter of fact the latest patch made it so 1080p videos play by default. Previously only the 720p versions were playing.

anyone had any problems loading saves? when i try to load any save (auto or manual) the game just hangs at the save game screen but the sound continues as if it loaded fine. can click around and make it do error beeps etc, rly weird ;d
edit: derp i sorted it, i deleted the LoadMapMovies entries along with StarupMovies from engine.ini. thx for update also beckman =)

hmm strange i overwrote the files exactly over my flt release directory but nothing happens when i try to start the game did i miss anything?

So I've been playing for a little while now. I don't have too many issues with the game itself, but damn the clunky console interface is a pain in the ass. Especially in multi-level buildings in combat missions it's a serious bitch to select the square you want to send the soldier to, with it auto-snapping to an adjoining location on a lower level, not to mention the camera constantly zooming up to higher levels, obscuring the level you are on. And on top of that, lack of free camera controls, at least free rotation, constantly annoys me.

The only daytime mission I have had is one the same map that was shown in a video posted a dozen or so pages back, a week or so before release where someone was asking back then about daytime missions. It's a crash site set in a forest. You start off in a shallow creek.

Not surprising: the fact if its a daytime or nighttime mission depends on the time of day that you land your skyranger. So when the alert comes in, where the alert is and where your base is (ie: flighttime for your skyranger) all determine if its a day- or nightmission.

I finally got my version running, and I've just decided to keep Steam permanently in offline mode so everything runs with no more faffing.
Is there any reason I should ever turn off offline mode? (except for game updates)

It's pre-cracked, from how I understood it the actual crack consists of XCom.exe and Steam_api.dll but it might also have affected XCom.com though I am not certain of that last file.
(Steam_api.dll alone shouldn't be enough to make it work since this is using CEG even if I've run - well attempted to at least - the game exe and let it customize instead it needs a modified updated exe file.)

yup its again another MAX PAIN 3
game size after install 13 864 589 942 bytes
the Movie folder alone 9 402 245 120 bytes
whole game without movie folder is 4 216 029 184 bytes

Then what good does it do to grab the files you've uploaded if we need a new crack?

Outstanding game !
I am really enjoying it, I almost bought it yesterday but after some more ISOBETADEMO testing :
My game went stuck at every end of turn showing "Alien activity" and hang here forever.
ALT-TAB then kill process, restart the game, reload, one turn and stuck again.
Seeing the game hub on steam many people are complaining about bugs and unbalanced difficutly.
I may wait till they release a finished game before buying it, because I think it really worth it.
Any legit user here with the first update to give some feedback ?
