Even though there seems to be less variaty in guns, I do think there are more different builds now. Yes, a lot of the stuff is somewhat similar, but they look different and act a lot different as well. The X1, X2 and X3 is still there, but in dmg/sec etc, which is much better as you now have at least an idea what it does.

Also the % chance it will kick in. If anything, I think they've improved on the elemental x1, x2 etc stuff from BL1 in that they've gone back to a regular ARPG style of displaying those figures.

The guns are still more "balanced" in BL2 though - i.e. you'll tend to go for the same combinations of manufacturer and whatever stat(s) regardless.

the % to kick in and the dmg/sec is simply the level of the weapon. The higher the level, the higher the chance and the higher the damage. There is nothing random about that.

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned was released one month after Borderlands release, too. And then the next two DLCs one month after the earlier one. Smile

Adding the DLC folder for those two new DLC will give you the files but without using a crack you won't access the new content. Smile

Notes:

This is cumulative update patch 1.1.1 - does not require any updates installed before.

I had a problem with the previous update (Borderlands.2.Update.3-SKIDROW), with the included "Launcher.exe" crashing under win7 x64...
Could someone please confirm it is working normally this time ?

So, finished Borderlands 1 + all DLCs (except for the Moxxi bitch one, couldn't be bothered with long mindless arena fights). I played as Siren (max level 45), and enjoyed it mainly because of the elemental effects and shit, but didn't use the phasewalking much, mainly defensively.

I'll be installing and playing the sequel in the next few days/weeks but I wanted to know if you recommend to play as Siren again (has it improved or variated?) or would it be better to try a different class?. Thanks for any feedback.

Btw, my favourite character was General Knoxx Razz

Instead of Phasewalk the Siren now does a Phaselock, which stunns the enemy for some seconds. I like my Siren and her playstyle, definetly another playstyle. I also just finished my Commando yesterday and now im going for Mechro, if you want something fresh/new then go for Mechro (ultimate Rage) or Assassin.

I used the skidrow patch 4 on the skidrow release and everything seems to work fine.

Started a Mechromancer and its awesome once you hit 5 and get the Deathtrap robot.

Up to 5 seemed a bit harder than the other classes. I heard somewhere that they increased the difficulty with this patch with the Mechromancer.
I did notice some of those birds showing up when taking the first town that I dont recall seeing before.

It also appears to be dropping better shields early on as well.

But once you get the deathtrap, if anything its too easy. Takes down the early bosses with almost no effort.

Luckily it doesnt last too long and has a 1 minute cooldown

^ Don't worry, looks easy at beginning with DT Laughing But yea, if you put skills in his use, he gets pretty strong later in game, level 41 with Mechro now, and I keep DT active sometimes for 10 minutes or so...There's a skill where, a kill gains 5 seconds for DT.

Depends, do you have the Premiere Club DLC (steam->borderlands 2->properities->dlc tab) ?
If yes, you should be able to choose her when you start a new game, when you dont have Premiere club, then no.
