OK! After much team deliberation we have one final ultimate stretch goal. At $4.0m we will be enhancing the whole game. We will use live instrumentation for the soundtrack, add developer in-game commentary, and use every dollar between $3.5m and $4m to enhance the game. Also at $4.0m Chris Avellone will be forced to play Arcanum.

Publisher: Pays x amount of dollars in salary to make a game by a certain date
Kickstarter: Budgeting based on salaries required in order to make a game in a certain amount of time (time being when money runs out)
I don't see how it's much different. Either you have the time and resource management or you don't, whether you are own boss or working for a publisher. Actually the former is probably harder.
While I paid $25 I think it's a coinflip whether this game turns out a mess or really good

Yeah, in the last couple of days people have started throwing money at them. It is good for us, as they are going to expand the game. The more the merrier.
I think its actually at 13-14 at mega dungeon(75k for more 10 and 20k likes on facebook for another one),we need 500 more backers(77.5k) in total for another one,but Paypal still open and that amount is possible given how close the numbers are
