I lost my best men in the base attack. And one had full rank :<
I couldn't get myself to play much more after that.
Exactly how I felt, and now with all these games out id rather play Halo 4. Might get back to XCOM if I feel motivated tho Because it seems like the kind of game that grows on you.
So i just found out its possible to train your troops in a psy lab. I'm at the UFO capture storyline, am i way too late? Is it even any point in starting that now?
I'm at work now (a co-worker at the water cooler told me), but i dont remember seing anywhere to train my troops in psy warfare. Where is it done, and do i need to capture any of the mind controlling aliens to do so?
I did build a psy lab or something early in the game, is that enough, or will more psy buildings be available later on?
Yeah, once you have a psi-lab, you can start training them. Not all grunts can have the ability but the lab has potential to open up the first slot in psi attacks.
From that point in, the more kills you get with it, the more experience you get and it can be levelled up much the same way that every rank upgrades.
I didn't start training it til late but it's fine unless you get to the point of no return (which you get notified about not being able to go back and training, industry etc stops).
I think if you capture an ethreal (i think thats what they are called, big purple skinny aliens) you can research the psi-armor.
Thanks, i did build a psy lab, i was sure i had build it earlier, but apparently not
I have trained all my men, only 2-3 was giftet. Now im stuck in the game untill i get a soldier with max psy abilities. Time to get Vega to use his abilities every chance he gets (had this guy since the first mission)
