Take what back? My glowing, constant, praise of the game? Never Razz I love Viking, unequivocally, and all I did was answer ixi's question; yes, there are primitive RPG elements such as the ones used in God of War.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's like Gothic, not really. If anything? I'd say it was closer to Fable and well worth €13 - for now though it is definitely worth checking out if/when the sodding thing gets cracked Razz

there are 3 or 4 island you explore , big ass maps , first you are alone but then you are in a raiding party of 8 to 16 viking that fight with you , you can buy weapons , get new skills , train dragons that fight with you WAY FUCKING BEFORE SKYRIM DID IT , etc... just a epic game ... how to picture it so you can get it .... hmmm Imagine RUNE with A BIG ASS SANDBOX element of Gothic = Viking: Battle for Asgard

and those battles where FUCKING EPIC 900 units of VIKINGS killing other deamons with you ... no other game made me feel like a BAD ASS VIKING LIKE THIS GAME

Haha sounds good then Very Happy. Actually after having watched some minutes of gameplay I'd say that it's definitely better and "more open" than I expected.

Doesn't seem to be using CEG since the exe isn't being customized when the game is validated or run for the first time, might be something else.

EDIT: Now it did the configuration, weird, well I guess it does use CEG and other stuff then.

EDIT: Game crashes when you select difficulty though so it's somewhat unplayable. Very Happy

But at least the developers know about that NVIDIA problem with the missing text.

EDIT: Also if you open da.te or ti.me you can see that the build date is from the end of August.

went ingame, killed some monsters, found it impossible to enjoy with 30 fps cap.

also looks like its made for 16:9, had to uncheck 'display only recommended resolutions' to get access to my 1920x1200 and its looking a bit stretched ingame. might just be how the game looks though.

putting this one on standby until a tool for removing the fps limit comes out.

Some game files were updated alongside with the exe, however (This is also the new content format.) most of that size seem to be due to the redistributables now being added to \viking\external though I deleted them since I already have updated versions installed.

Maybe, there's a number of model changes, nearly every shader file got changed, Russian and Polish localization globals were updated, launcher keyboard and mouse graphics were changed too (Or added?) and then the launcher and exe plus some .dll files.

EDIT:
The updated files, not that they're much use as is but here they are.
