I'm tempted to try this game, but ain't it too platform-ish? Something like Shank but with stealth?

The only thing it has in common with Shank is a 2D sidescrolling viewpoint. The gameplay is completely different since you have to rely on stealth and gadgets rather than straight up combat, you can die in like two shots. Also there are some puzzle elements.

But ain't it too arcade-ish fast? Or can we take our time? Moving through the shadows and such?

This game is brilliant. One of the best games of the year IMO. I've always been a huge stealth game fan and this game is just awesome. I was a bit disappointed with Shank 2 compared to the first one, but this game is so good. I'm only on the 3rd or 4th level, but I already know I'll be going back to the first couple to finish getting stuff. One thing I liked about Shank was the outfits you could unlock. Games that lack multi can make up for it with cool unlocks. This game seems to have a pretty decent amount of them from what I can tell. Not sure how to get them all, but there is quite a lot. Definitely worth checking out.

Definitly a great game, i hadnt heard about the game until the day it was released and since iam also huge fan of stealth games, decided to try it, it rocks. Only thing i need is figure how to get my right analog stick to move the camera, everything else works flawless.

Be sure to keep the emulator there or else you will get double bindings.

Here are the setting for common USB Controller for Xpadder.
http://www.mediafire.com/?bibkwmnbacktcz8
Start Xpadder and the game. Just leave 360ce.exe +x360ce.ini + xinput1_3.dll in your bin folder to prevent double binding

Finally installed the game and played for a while, it's been a pleasant experience so far. The stealth mechanics are solid and the levels are well designed, allowing and even encouraging different tactics, almost like a 2D Dishonored.
It's stealthier than many of the "next gen" stealth games released these days (looking at you, Conviction and Absolution ).

Best 2D scroller ever, it beats now my second best Aladdin
They really give a lot of points for not killing anyone, will have to try that on my second playthrough.

Crap, can't get it to run anymore. Worked fine on first startup, now it crashes as soon as I launch it.

It happened to me too, then for some weird reason I deleted the shortcut on the desktop and started the game directly from the .exe, and it worked again. (I'm talking about the FLT release)
