Nah, it's not VAC secured at all. Not listed on Steam, can find no mention of it searching Google either.

I've got an HD 5770 & Q9400 @ 3.0GHz and it runs pretty decently with PhysX now, I set my MaxParticleResize @ 125. |
what is "decently" in your books?
Because i could run with everything fully enabled, but it would stick me at 30 fps then (not more or less when the effects happen), and 30 isn't "decently" in my book.

i dont get it i played a bit the game on the harder difficulty and got the dlc and started playing it on regular level i get almost nothing in experience points and the game is just to easy is it like this for everyone?
does it have to do with the fact i played the game under higher difficulty?

Reminds me of NOL in Phantasy Star Online. That was anything but amusing, fucking hackers could change your character into an NPC called "NOL" and you couldn't even change back, you'd be lv1 with no items and no meseta and it ruined your save game too.
Losing a lv8x (unsure which, just remember it was in the 80s) HuCast due to that? No sir, t'was not fun.

Welp, before with PhysX on Medium at normal .ini settings my fps would drop to around 15ish when CRAZY ass shit started happening. At those same spots with the tweaked .ini entry I get around 30-40 fps.
But remember, my computer is pretty old nowadays. So if you were getting 30 fps on default PhysX settings, I'm pretty sure you might get around 50+ frames with a tweaked ini (as long as there's no goddamn liquid around).
It doesn't take long to simply try it out for yourself, and the PhysX effects are well worth the fps drop IMO.

To each his own, personally I would never sacrifice a fluid framerate for a couple of AMAZOMG particle effects...

Game was fun but have to say the true vault hunter mode was just tedious after a certain point.. especially in single player.

Quote: | Borderlands 2 Update 1.1.3
- Added a toggle for whether textures should fade or pop in when a higher-resolution version loads. High-end computers can disable this to avoid seeing lower-resolution textures streaming in.
- Added the ability to reset all challenge progress for a character once they've completed 85% of all non-DLC, non-area-specific challenge levels. This will keep the player's current challenge bonuses and rank, but reset all challenge progress to 0 and allow challenges to be re-completed for additional ranks and bonuses. Resetting is available on the "challenges" screen of the status menu and will display as a tooltip at the bottom of the screen if the player has met the criteria.
- Fixed a bug where profile files set to "read only" were not being saved.
- Fixed a performance issue in Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty content with PhysX set to Medium or High. |

This kind of issue occurs also with Dr. Mercy mission and his weapon.
Quit the game (aka, return to the main menu) and reload it.
What you're supposed to get should be reset in its original place.
