Seriously Jack, take a little more time to type and check your posts, haha
Roberto? I don't know if you're dyslexic or not (seems so), but regardless, take a bit more time to go over what you're about to post (and English not being your native language is not an excuse for failing to type Rogero when it's in the post you're responding to)

Just install it. It's just a psn software and not system. Problem though now is that it seems the connection to psn gets broken while downloading. Perhaps also while gaming. Perhaps there is a fix, but i don't know.

@membre999
E3 jumped the gun, turns out their release is broken and problems were reported, so it was deleted for now.

I don't understand this statement. I thought the whole point of upgrading is that we no longer have to patch anything??? |
My fault, I was still half alseep when posting that, what I meant to say was:
"Any patches for 3.55 will not work on 4.21 / 4.25 so you will need to get the game without any EBOOT modifications / or PSN with patches to play the full versions on 4.21 I believe."
How I managed to say that I did I have no clue, was not thinking.

The only time you need to resign your EBOOTs is for hacked PSN games. If you just used a standard install with the RAP/RIF method from reACTPSN then you're okay. It's basically homebrew and anything that required signing - such as EBOOTs/SPRXs. Don't bother resigning disc-based game EBOOTs, such as TrueBlue, that's just pointless -- simply go back to the original files and launch by standard.

Sorry... but yes. Unless you have a hardware flasher and can get back to 3.55 (providing you were on it originally) then there's nothing anyone can do.

I'm on keamu 3.55. In reading a tutorial to get my PS3 updated to Rogero 4.21 v1.09 CFW I've downloaded the official Sony firmware 3.55 as I'm to load that first, then proceed to load the 4.21 CFW. I should load both from the recovery console to be safe and avoid a brick? I have a launch PS3 fat model and I've upgraded the hard drive to 500gb over the years.
The other question I had was about the QA.pkg. is this only nessecary if you have ever downgraded your PS3? How critical is it to run this before updated to Rogero? What are advantages/ disadvantages for this? I've read a little about but it still confuses me. I've never downgraded my system. Only ever ran newer updates on it. It's been at 3.55 for the past two years.

What about that news about a cfw 4.30 news who got deleted. Isn't that an indication for a new development?

Yes, to be completely "safe" you should update the firmware from Recovery Mode and as much as I can tell; as long as you haven't downgraded in the past then you won't need to run QA toggle.
