i kind of doubt the mod updates are coming
hive development has already been officially retired
they're encouraging players to move to private hives and people to focus development on the private stuff
at least until standalone comes
Yes don't expect big updates for the mod from now on. All development goes into the standalone, WarZ forced their hand I guess. Meanwhile others release new maps and lately we got a new map called Namalsk. DayZCommander shed its skin a couple of times and can install all the other maps:

Sorry but like I said in the thread earlier, it doesn't have to do anything with WarZ. It's just that the mod is a waste of time. And I agree with that. Let modders finish it. Private Hives are on the rise anway.
Hmm Rocket promised dogs for example. Wouldn't be surprised if the standalone will not even have them (initially). Something else besides giving many interviews must be pressing him.
On the other hand it seems that some DayZ fans are running amok in WarZ with cheat programs. The WarZ might completely fail if that can't be countered. Most hacks for that game were already developed for War Inc. some years ago.

Last time was with Pumpy... The above patch notes seems nice. Have they sorted out a lot of the general iffyness with the game / engine or is it much the same?
They had just introduced the hatchet when I last played (had an ammo counter of like 5000) or something.
