Since PSN game hacking falls under piracy, as opposed to 3.55 modified EBOOTs for games - which falls under "backups" - you won't find fixes for those games on most legitimate PS3 news sites. So keep checking PS3News and especially PS3ISO.

Just flashed from 3.55 kmeaw to Rogero 4.30 via Recovery Menu on an original 60GB launch PS3 just fine!
EDIT: Heh, damn, maybe I should have stayed on 3.55, didn't realize it was going to be such a bitch to find original EBOOTS... ;p Forgot Astraweb failed so hard lately.

Ok, just updated to 4.30 cfw and all games are playing fine.... looks like that some SONY firmware engineers will have a busy end of year ! ( if something is possible from their side)
On the other side, i play all the non exclusive games on 360 and already finished the few Ps3 ecxlusives (uncharted 3/ratchet/resistance 3/killzone..)
What are the next PS3 titles (i already saw God of war ascension , Last of us but stil no news of FF Versus xiii damned !)

after some looking around the big games to look out for are
playstation all stars, little big planet karting? (lol) and thats it!!, for this year....really pathetic show.
theres a few on psn that are worth grabbing like tokyo jungle, re chronicles etc
i guess for those of us who have already played the latest releases on 360 have to wait an even longer time for some worthwhile ps3 games.

i didnt need to fix any of those you mentioned but how are you doing the method? if your grabbing them off the hdd then try and get the original crack.pkg and using the eboot from that instead.
im pretty sure the ones you mentioned never got seperate crack files, there early psn releases which i think were cracked differently, so they may need to be fixed differently.

Current gen is coming to an end,there won't be much of Exclusives stuff now. I have my PS3 for console exclusive(no PC),most games coming for both anyway.there is little differents in terms of graphics and performances

everyone who has both consoles uses ps3 for exclusives, after all there are only 3 multiplatform games that run better on ps3. but the ps3 exclusives are just so much better than the 360 ones, its not even funny. uncharted, yakuza, ratchet and clank, god of war, killzone vs halo, alan wake, gears of war.
no chance there.

Hey mates, can you help out a lazy guy here?
My PS3 covered with dust has Kmeaw custom firmware (I think it was 3.55) on it.
What do I need to do to get to the new Rogero 4.30? Do I need to downgrade to 3.41 first?
With Rogero 4.30 I can use PSN at the moment?

I tried both ways. The games won't even work on 3.55 without the crack packages installed. When I fixed the three games that did work, it was a single install. These games that I can't fix all have one thing in common, they required a separate crack to make them work.
Worms for example requires a separate eboot to be copied to the hard drive after the pkg file has been installed. The splinter cell games did not do this, they came as one package file and installed. I then took the eboot off my drive and fixed/replaced it as your instructions indicated. I had been doing the fixes the same way you did yours.
Thing is I have wasted a lot of time trying to figure out how all this works. I have tried to fix the eboots before applying the crack pkg's and after. The results are the same. The errors I got trying to fix the eboots were "Could not read eboot.elf" & "Could not find keyset for SELF" I tried googling a solution but no one goes into any detail on this.

If you are on kmeaw CFW 3.55 You can upgrade direct to Rogero 4.30(just don't update any OFW after 3.55).do it from recover mode for more safety, you will have PSN

duplex maybe should use their resources on cracking psn games and dlc. number of people who stick with 3.55 cfw is rapidly shrinking so these eboot patches are becoming useless.

That's what I'm aiming for as well, just now trying to erase patch data... fucking Resistance 3 has been deleting for like, 25+ minutes now. Figured it froze but saw a thread elsewhere that said it can take up to 25 minutes and just to let it go. |
