Yes, you can Smile You'll have to download the patches, if any exists, manually either through HTTP links or apps such as PS3GameUpdates or even from within MultiMAN -- but yes, you can do that too. The game will then load the EBOOT stored in GAME\TITLEID as opposed to the JB games folder.

Deleting the 'Game Data' actually, and YES, it does take that long. In fact, I just did this on Sunday, as I was clearing all the useless data gobbling up my hard drive space and Resistance 3 took me close to an hour to delete it's game data, which weighed a measly 2.7GB or so.

@Adebisi,well,most of my 3.55CFW fixed working on my 4.30CFW without any need to replace back, the only one was Tekken Tag 2,but figure out it was the 3.55 fixed update the cause the problem, now it's working perfectly

how about reading the appropriate instructions for doing that ? Anyway I always recommend going to use 4.25to3.55 downgrade pup, qa flag, 2x install rogero 3.55 v7 from recovery -> 4.30 from recovery. Seems its the safest way to go...why save 15 minutes and risk a brick ?

@Adebisi,well,if you have PSN stuff fixed to 3.55,you will have to resign them for 4.21+ but that's no much of a problem

Is MM supposed to remember what it downloaded somehow? Or does it know how to scan for updates already downloaded? If I check for updates it keeps telling me the same ones are available, downloads them, says it was successful, and then says the same update is available and will download it again if I tell it to... Is that normal?

It doesn't check what you have, no, it will just tell you what is available and then grab those.

MM does check what you have, it will first show you all the available updates and then check what's installed and only download the necessary ones, or just cancels the process if the game is up to date.

As far as I can remember (it's been a while Razz) newer versions of MM will also tag the downloaded PKG with the FWReqVer, such as 3600 for 3.60FW and 4210 for 4.21.

It does? Neutral Mine always did the same thing it does for sTo0z; grabs the updates regardless of which one I had installed. It's been a while since I used MM so perhaps it changed? In which case.. oops.. thanks for the clarification Smile

I've only used that features after these new cfws, probably a new feature. It tags the updates with proper order of installation too.

Guess mine is bugged then, because I'm on 4.30 Rogero with the MM that he published with it. And it doesn't know what it downloaded.

I am on Rogero 4.30 now. BluRay Games on Harddrive work flawlessly.

PSN games dont't work anymore with error 80010017. I understand I need to resign them.

How do I do that?

Most people get errors when trying to go from the XMB, though it can't hurt to try. Just drop down to Recovery Mode if you get any troubles.

I feel a litle dumb...

Ok now I have the tools and want to find out the contentID with the contentid tool. But the content id tool wants a pkg file from me. I dont have the pkg file anymore, because I only have the psn games installed on the ps3. That means I have to redownload the pkg?

I couldn't figure it out either, instead I right clicked on the EBOOT.BIN and choose 3.56+ sign, you can see the contentid that way. And then just rename the backup file it made and use it. There has to be a proper way though. Very Happy

Downgrading is done using xmb, the rest is recovery. Reread the steps again.
