I just felt like getting new monitor, had the money and just got it. Also - I hated my old 226bw. I had black bars on derpbox, ghosting. terrible viewing angles and horrible blacks. So I got a nice 23 fullhd ips and I couldn't be happier.
I got it BEFORE I started my pc upgrade. At least Monitor is a part which I can just buy and enjoy right away. I got that cpu etc month after and now I will finish it with psu and gpu. I might only add new chasis month earlier but that can wait.
edit: And let's not go crazy. 2500k would not be any cheaper this month than last... It might eventually get more expensive due to christmass |
Lol. sorry. you wasted money and you're trying to justify it. there are people out there who play their xboxes on a crt. and some even play it in SD resolution. FINANCES HOW DO THEY WORK!? The poor americans somehow have it figured out... no internet... basic cable... enough electricity and food to survive a harsh cold winter... y'know.. no usenet accounts... no derpboxes with expensive games... and they get by. once in a while they SAVE money and they can buy condoms so they wont need to feed anymore children. Saving money is part of growing up... spending it on frivolous bull shit... lol... yeah... you have full right to complain here.
you could've used that 1000 (you spent on a monitor) on the parts that you need now (800+ worth) and you would've had a pc. albeit on a shitty monitor with ghosting and horrible blacks. And bout the monitor later. You know... you could have a computer you could be enjoying right away (after you build it).

Buying things that you don't actually need* when you obviosly can't afford them is simply immature. Instead of relativizing shit, you need to face this issue before mafia starts chasing you to break your legs.
* Yes, you don't need that expensive monitor. You are not a graphics professional, you won't be earning big money with it, you use it for gaming and internet. A $300 monitor will do just the same job for you.

I wanted to get new pc. Together with new monitor etc.
I just happen to get monitor first. It is vastly superior to my old 226bw which was driving me crazy. I couldnt even stretch in a chair, because of terrible down viewing angles.
I really don't get it... How is buying separate parts month after month, immature ? wtf. Those are pc components.

lol... don't call me a derp. you're the derp. oh i need a new 1000 monitor because it's new! lol. there are tons of cheaper monitors out there that could've done what you wanted. like i want that drawing board... y'know... the 400$ one... but i don't need it. I want that led keyboard that has pictures and shit on it... but i don't need it. A cheap 79$ keyboard is just fine. Oh i want a mouse with 20 buttons... but i don't need it... two button mouse for current fps/action adventure games is all you need. ooh i need headphones... fuck off you need headphones. regular 30$ headphones are well enough. and if you spend 10$ more you'll have a headset. ffs...
you aren't in audio design so expensive 'awesome' headphones you won't need. you aren't in digital design so you don't need a 1000 dollar monitor that won't be used as it should. jesus. I'm sorry... you are wasting money like there's no tomorrow. ffs you could've bought a cheap led hd tv... all viewing angles that you need... decent enough sound... and great colours if you add 100$... so you could've gotten a device that could've done all you wanted... for less than 500.
yeah. seriously. I hate kids who wear beats headphones cause they think they're the best thing out there when they know nothing about sound. or when people go buy expensive cameras just because they're top of the line and use the automatic setting. it's a waste of money. a pocket cam is all you need. or a fucking phone cam.
and it's just like buying a sports car when all you will ever do in your life is live in a crowded city where you can't do shit with it. your dick is that small? you want the entire city to know that? that's money well spent right there. that's like hiring a prostitute to read you a fucking novel. or best yet... spending 2500 on a pc... just so you can play emulated wii games... 
some people... i hope you're enjoying your monitor... even though for 1000 you could've prolly bought a kick ass tv. or if you saved money and bought a cheaper monitor that could've done everything you wanted (gaming) YOU COULD HAVE HAD A COMPUTER ALREADY!

and did I mentioned viewing angles? good god... This was annoying me for 5 years. Now Idont have to look up to see better in dark scenes and watching movies with gf from bed is much better |

226bw was an awesome screen when I got it ( even if it was only C panel)

visa = easy to get, bank loan = not. or even just a line of credit.
regardless of whether or not he should be buying something he doesn't have the money for, bank loans are not meant for buying consumer goods.
