I've become totally... I don't know what to call it.. shell-shocked by listening to the japanese band Melt Banana.. My senses are all messed up. It's brilliant, ugly, beautiful, noisy, heavy, metal, weird, punk, japanese...... The following two links are their more-like-pop-songs.. The ones that made me fall in love with them: They've toured with Mr.Bungle, Fantomas and some more extreme combos. A top comment for the first link perfectly explain my feelings after hearing that song the first time: "What did I just hear? Why are my senses all discombobulated? Did I enjoy this? I don't even know. WHO AM I!?!" It moved on to fascination and then "yeeeaaaah". The female vocalist (Yasuko Onuki) has a voice that makes 50% of the sound. Saw them in sweden a bunch of years ago. They were kind of popular within the punkscene (obviously considering they are playing noise) around 2000-2005, but then I haven´t heard much about them...untill now.
