Acting was great... except for emma stone. everyone else did a great job. especially Garfunkel. the moment you lads realize that half the shit that isn't cgi is actually him doing some of the stunts... that's when you go... dayum.

Do tell about those stunts!

Garfunkel Laughing

he's a ballet dancer so he put a lot of himself when doing stunts. being flexible and acrobatic. no need for a stunt double unless it something the actor can't do or it's too dangerous for a dainty contract

you can have a stiff actor doing the roles like tobey and go all out and make it look cartoony when he does stunts... that's cool.. but when you have someone who can actually pull it off.. it adds a certain awesome level to it. can't wait for a sequel. it'll be bomb. and i do hope they go lacklustre on the cgi as well. i liked what they did with the lizard.

Total Recall 2012 - 6.5/10

The first part of the movie was pretty good but the second part just become generic cyberpunk action flick. It had some good premise but they just couldn't pull it off and the twists with memory swapping felt short. On the good side I like the futuristic cities concepts and the robots.
I also wonder how many people got seizures in the first 5 minutes of the movie with all that stroboscopic flashes.

Total Recall (1994) 8/10 A masterpiece in my opinion, a brilliant mix of great story with popcorn flick (aka arnie in action).

Total Recall (2012) 4/10 2 of those 4 because of Biel and Beckinsale and their great "assets". Otherwise the movie is a big failure (at what it is). It tries to retell a story, but fails miserably at that. The first 30-40 minutes were more or less ok-ish
 Spoiler:

But after that, it totally derailed and just became a action scene after action scene without soul or meaning.

oh and they want us to believe, that they drilled a hole through earth and use it as a railway ? @ 11.75km/sec ? ? And they are walking around on that thing ?

Give me a motherfucking break...

Skyfall - 5.5/10 - very weak plot accompanied by dialogue which could've been written by a donkey. The action was OK, but it gave me the "been there done that" vibe most of the time. Almost everything was old really, other movies have done it better.

Skyfall - 7.5/10 - Decent movie although very overhyped. The thing is that the first part is Bond movie but the second part is a movie about Bond. And that change is just off putting at least for me. Also every five minutes they remind Bond that he is old now. Every fucking five minutes: "Bond you are old; Bond you are not fit; Bond you should retire" and so on.
There are two scenes that destroys that new serious tone of Bond but you will know which one they are.

On the good side Javier Bardem is awesome and well written as the bad guy.

Brave - 7/10

I was so enchanted by the characters, the voice acting, the gorgeous animation and Patrick Doyle's score that I was willing to forgive its narrative problems. The story is too simple and the villain seemed kinda shoehorned in to provide an exciting climax with no attempt at characterisation. That said, I still cried.

The Expendables 2 6.5/10
The brass section of the score was out of tune, but it's because of a shitty release. I'll watch a proper version sometime in the future. I expected more from this movie. Many of the one liners felt forced and out of place sadly. I did like the references to their previous movies, but they couldve done better with those. Sadly, Arnie felt way too old. Im hoping he'll be in a better shape for his next movies. The small car scene and the end fights were quite entertaining.

brave 8/10

i checked imdb boards briefly and it almost sounded like people were saying it was bad, and that pixar has lost their way and etc etc etc...

bullshit. i loved it, it was a really thoroughly enjoyable film, it was funny and it was heartfelt.. this film renews my faith in what pixar can do, after that poor showing with cars 2.

really enjoyed it. it did take a while to get going, but overall.. yeah... a really nice film Smile

nah disagree, it started a bit rough but overall it was a fine film. not their best, but well above the cars films and i think it sits easily beside bugs life, toy story 3 and nemo

far as im concerned, pixars only failings were their cars films.... first one was still enjoyable enough though...
