Cheaters (in public MP games) are cunts, end of story - no discussion. There is no rationalizing it. You want to cheat? Fine, do so in SP or a LAN server with your buddies. Anyone that takes that shit online and ruins legitimate competitive games is scum.

i agree dude. but it's here to stay. i've never played mw or mw2 online on my xbox because when i began to have time for it thats when that controller hack shit started. gears is full of adolescent kids screaming nigger and doing lag hacks. people (i.e. general public) ruin everything. always have, always will.

besides, once you cheat in a game like that you can truly see who else is cheating. you'll see them spot things you know they can't spot or see, unless they were cheating like you. it amazed me at the # of people who were cheating. i've not played an online pc game since then. it was really disheartening to learn that many were cheaters but at the same time that ignorance was definitely not bliss. |
All in all, you were still worse than campers and snipers. But I agree that there is huge amount of cheaters online. In BF2 at start you could see that after each patch skill of players suddenly drops.

The SINGLE reason I bought a PS3, now instead of being somewhere in teh middle scorewise, now I am mostly in 1st place due to the NO CHEATING FAGGOTS on consoles. Say whatever you want about consoles, blah blah blah. I don't have to even think about cheaters, glitchers sure, that's different alltogether. Took a bit to get into into it. Now though I rarely am not in 1st place, in any MP game. Hmm Wonder why that is, no fucking cheating assholes fucks. I"ll never buy a PC online game agin, including BF3 unfortunatley. I won't go near it. Nor will any of my friends go near it, after switching to the console. Such peace of mind. And they have those new mouse combo's for shooters now. Anything to be rid of those faggots. Someone said earlier you can't avoid the cheaters. Umm yes, yes you can. Faggot cheaters. I refuse to join em. I instead go to where they are not. BF2 BC2 is a great game, without cheaters, lol/ fags
Someone mentioned lag hacks, moreso known as lag switches, nowadays lag-pedals, Yes there are fag glitchers on consoles too. But for instance; with BC2's servers, if you're doing any weird shit the server boots you with a connection error, I think it's 1.5 secs or close to. Other Games, MAG are implementing changes with their servers too, for the lag pedalers, lol. Lowest common demominator n stuff, Still though, I can get around them ez enuff,. Now wall hackers, aim botters, I have not much of a chance against,lol

...and thats why I dislike games who dont allow you to setup your own server, use password and still get experience. I just wanna play with my mates having fun while leveling...this is impossible to do in MW2. So thats why I don't play it anymore.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Thought to exhume this one. Lately thanks to DayZ, and now War Z as well, I looked into this subject and saw how horrible cheating has become in competitive multi player gaming. Are they ever going to solve this?

I dont understand why you would cheat in an online game.
Sure I am the worlds worst gamer, I have cheated in the past (offline) to get past parts of games I just can't do. But I would never ever even think about cheating online, what's the point, to use the old cliche "You are only cheating yourself"
imagine looking at your score and seeing 50 kills and knowing not one of them was legitimate.
I would rather have 1 real kill online in a game over 50000000 fake ones.

I used to cheat in my earlier days in SoF1&2. However I soon started to make hacks myself and sell them rather than use them. As kid, it was a good source of income, until I saw my own handwork play against me. That made me lose interest and I have been "clean" for a ~decade now

Hmm pretty good article. It states one reason for cheating, you can't keep up with others. If you get your ass handed to you each time, the fun is over. Of course there are pure grievers out there as well, perhaps bullied too much at school or abused by their parents. I guess it is the same with sports and e-sports. If you can play competitive at your own level, it is much more fun.

thats the best thing about my old derpbox, when i fire up bf3 there i know no one is cheating. i enjoy it far more, (and before you go all "IT CAN BE DONE HURP!") no it fuckin cant, only way you can hack bf3 on a derpbox is if you have a jtagged derpbox, and ull be banned from live faster than you can say WTF if you even try and connect with it. so no there is no way to hack online games on the derpbox. theres a false rumor among the "legit" players that you can play with a jtagged box but is completely made up. i know this cause ive been modding derpboxes since the release of the first jtag hack
and take a fat guess if all of a sudden ppl suck way more than on PC ?,
take a guess how many times ppl shoot you from behind.. almost never.
and i bloody suck with a controller since ive been playign fps games on the pc since doom was released and we played it over lan in school
and i think ull see way more people moving over to the consoles for this reason alone when it comes to online play, pc gamers are killing online play atm

There are no excuses nor "justifications" for cheating, if you do it, you're a selfish asshole with absolutely no respect for people, period. And in the 99% of the cases the one who's cheating in games has some serious issues irl too. |

I remember people cheating in bf bc2 tournaments. One russian(?) team didnt even bother to disable the cheats and took screenshots with them on.. IN A TOURNAMENT!! I Stopped caring soon after and moved on to ps3.. except there arent many hardcore games to play there.. there was mag and now dust514 is coming.. aaaand thats kinda it i think.. everything else has huge crosshairs, aim assists and mostly horrid dumbed down gameplay..
