This one has an incredibly advanced physics engine though.
Its quite primitive predecessor Netkar Pro is considered one of the best simulations ever made, and it was basically a one man project
too bad rls is screwed cant start car 0 battery charge
Didn't dl the rls.. But I read just today someone saying elsewhere that only demo car/track work or something..? If so, TiNYiSO really screwed it up. Hopefully it's not a demo exe they used.
Okay got it working only with demo car though..First impression not bad but rfactor is better.Gonna try rfactor 2.
Keep in mind that this one is started as a one man game with and incredibly long development cycle and almost zero budget, and yet the small team managed to pull off a great physics engine. Assetto Corsa will be the first 'real game' from them, and so far looks amazing.
Yeah, I'm really looking forward to this one.
Hope they get the 'feel' right. The decent enough graphics are welcome too.
Been a while since I played a racing game where the main enjoyment was just purely driving.
It's in Italian but they show the Modding Editor (\o/) and all the apps to check temperature/engine etc (they're all fully customizable).
The game will contain several licenses and tracks (at least 6-7), but the good thing is, according to the devs it will be easy to create custom contents since that's one of their priorities. There aren't annoying encryptions and stuff like that, everything will be open.
Of course, the game's italian! I bet they wouldn't be in if EA were involved. The game looks good. I just hope it has something that makes it at least different if not better than the other games like this.
Asseto Corsa looks the absolute mutts nutts.
Without damping your expectations though, I've read somewhere that there will be no weather effects and pit stops implemented into the game for a while yet, maybe a year or two.
(Who cares tho', just release the fookin thing! )
Sim racing is deffo looking up again.
Love driving the Skippys and the Historic F1 cars in rFactor2 and project cars does indeed look fantastic and there's still a Simbin thingy to come..
